“I really need to stop biting my nails… and I should probably get more regular sleep. Less wine and cigarettes…"  A slight crinkle appeared in the bridge of her nose as she scrunched up her face. “And I need to stop forgetting to make sure Binx is with me when I leave the house…”BEATRICE: What is the achievement you’re most proud of? 

“There was a time I might have said surviving childhood with three older siblings, and while just a few years have passed, to me, it feels like a lifetime…” Adeline pulled in a deep breath, only to exhale slowly.

“Today, I’d have to say I’m most proud of learning how to live again, after losing my sight. I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to give up, how many times I’ve had to pick myself up off the floor only to fall once more. Each day carries its own set of struggles, and I’m still adjusting, still… coping, with that loss, but I’m determined to teach myself how to live in this new, dark world.”

CELIA: Do you want to fall in love? 

“Doesn’t everyone?” The young woman smiled, looking towards the person in front of her, but never quite meeting their gaze. “Call me naive, call me a romantic… you can even call me crazy if you like, but I believe love to be one of the most pure and beautiful things left in this world. Frightening? Yes. Painful? Certainly. But I have to believe it’s worth it. Why would anyone risk having their heart broken if it wasn’t?”

HAMLET: Do you prefer to think things through thoroughly or act on impulse? 

“If you had asked me two years ago, I’m sure I would have answered impulsively. However, so much has changed since then… I tend to think a little more before I act these days. Most of the time, anyway.”

PUCK: Do you consider yourself a mischievous person? 

Even with her dull, colorless eyes, something seemed to flash within them as a smile began to pull subtly at the corners of her mouth. “Perhaps… to an extent. I have my obvious limitations, but I still manage to have my fun, when the mood strikes.”

ROMEO: How far would you go for love? 

“For true love? The kind that sets your heart on fire, turns your world upside-down, and makes you forget any sense of reason?” There was a pause as a soft, thoughtful smile slowly found its way to her face.

“To the ends of the earth…" 

SEBASTIAN: Is violence ever the answer?"I wish I could truthfully answer no, but unfortunately, that’s not the world we live in. Sometimes, violence is the only answer.”

Would They Be Known : Perhaps. Those that follow the performing arts, or have seen her paintings in various small galleries would certainly recognize her face/name. 

Personality: Adeline, while friendly and approachable, polite under most circumstances, is incredibly guarded. She loves meeting new people and experiencing new things, but it takes some time for her to open up to those around her.

Language(s): Common, some Darnassian/Orcish/Thalassian

Height: 5′9″

Body Type: She has the body of a dancer. Long, toned legs, flat stomach, lean muscle; indicative of her level of discipline and dedication to her passion.  

Eye Color:  Pale grey

Hair Color: Rich brown

Age: 20

Notable Scars, Marks, etc: No visible scarring, though it would be easy to decipher that the young woman is blind simply by looking at her eyes (~description below~).

Tattoos/Piercings: Three piercings in each ear ~ one in the upper cartilage, and two in the lobe. There is a tattoo on the inside of her right ankle ~ a tiny silhouette of a sea turtle in dark blue ink.

First Appearances: Her eyes, once lovely pools of warm, gold-flecked hazel, are now a cool grey. They don't carry the milky, glazed-over appearance one might expect, and there are no signs of physical trauma. It looks as though all of the color was simply... drained from them completely, along with her ability to see.

A thick, shiny curtain of rich, coffee-colored waves would spill to the middle of her back whenever it wasn't pulled into a bun or a ponytail to keep it away from her face, and always appears to be healthy and well-maintained.

Her clothing is usually simple, though everything seems to be perfectly tailored to fit her form. Pants worn with tall boots, blouses of soft, rich fabrics, dresses that flatter without being overly fancy or flashy; a wardrobe that would suggest middle-class status.

What To Expect: This really all depends on how she’s approached/what kind of situation she finds herself in. She’s new in development, so apart from a few key notes I have fleshed out from her past, she is a very adaptable character.
