jason finds taking care of you extremely therapeutic.

although he might not show it openly, he's extremely ecstatic to get himself well acquainted with any sort of self-care routine you might already have. be it your hair, face, body, he will be there and he will be an active participant. it's essentially a couple activity, jason reasons. what better way to show that he loves you than to care for every and any part of your body?

it's awkward the first few times. his entire body stiff as he works his way through your hair. palms clammy when he rubs lotion into your skin. glancing away every time your gaze meets his own.

soon it becomes ritualistic . holy. sacred. a form of worship. to not do so would be a form of sacrilege.

it's odd, considering how blasé he tends to be towards his own self. unfortunately, having batman take you under his wing (el oh el..) meant that his self-sacrificing modus operandi rubbed off on most if not all of his tutees.

as you SHOULD matey 🏴‍☠️!!!! can i use this to talk more about jason and tomodachi life.. ok….

expanding off of my last post, i really do think jason would pirate the game, even if you have a switch of your own. don't get him wrong, he likes sharing with you but he thinks he'd die of shame if you ever found out how desperate he was to get your mii to date his.

jason's thugging out the few viruses he got in the process whilst attempting to pirate the game; the fans of his laptop whirring, heat radiating off of it enough to fry a couple of eggs. sunny side up anyone??

he even struggled with those god forsaken 'mii shadow' quizzes where he had to guess which one of the many placeholder miis it was. awful! every time his little miis waved at him it with those three little green lines above their head they always seemed to taunt him with that same mini game. so, it was safe to say after unlocking the last expansion of the map he was happy to boot all of those miis off. especially the one that successfully asked you out.

jason even moved your houses to be right next to each other since every time his mii wanted to move in with yours, it always ended up with his mii rejected and dejected. what has he done wrong?! was all his karmic debt getting funneled into this? jason was already expecting your miis to get married and pop out a gaggle of children ages ago. what do you MEAN your mii thinks his mii is 'awkward…'!

now, if you also play— be it by pirating the game or having a switch yourself— he'll be a little happy if your going through constant rejection by his mii. makes him feel better or whatevvaaa. but if your mii is dating someone else he's tearing up instantly. if he's feeling really petty, he'd probably tamper with your island and make sure every other mii's dating preferences is set to no one. you two are destined to be and he's not letting some rando from a game or show you like whisk you away.

stakeouts are nothing compared to the agonizing stress simulation games make jason go through.

jason's upset.

he knows it's petty. yet, that does nothing to abate the furrow of his brows and the pout on his lips.

your mii is refusing to date his mii. the stubby big-headed character he poured way too much effort into making it look like you using the face paint and tinkering with the facial placement— though it is but a pittance compared to the real deal. not to mention the fact that he had to make you based off memory since he had been too shy to confess that he made both of you as miis on his island and wanted a reference.

the only two residents on his island, in fact.

and he's still getting rejected.

if he was lucky you'd let him talk to you whilst sitting together on the fountain. only for his mii to vaguely ask to hang out and make things awkward.

he had even made place holder miis, before unceremoniously removing them, until he got the island expansions! the restaurant. photo booth. pawn shop. hell, even the ferris wheel! yet, no juice could be made from the fruit of his labor.

your mii had been adamant in constantly rejecting his advances, even having the gall to fall in love with one of the placeholder miis.

and after every rejection, his own mii kept falling back in love after a trip to europe to subside his despair. after the first few times the love bubble inevitably popped up, jason had told his mii-self that it was too soon to ask your mii out only for that equally big-headed bunch of pixels refuse his advice and ask you out anyway. rinse and repeat.

perhaps it was a cruel joke on him for even trying. was it because your mii wasn't accurate enough? jason swears to himself that he'll keep a small photo of you in his wallet from this day forth.

perhaps it was poetic. that, no matter what happens to him, he'll always come to love you.

jason sees you play random flash games whenever you're bored.. and he’s hooked!!

you're hunched over your laptop on the couch whilst jason cooked. well, at least, he was until you hear a snort from behind you; your tiny character meeting its death in the random endless runner game you clicked on.

"ugh, jason! you made me lose."

"i laughed after you lost, actually."

"whatever." you huffed. "it's still your fault."

jason enjoyed watching you play games, from random mmorpgs where you run around as fairies to iterations of a cozy farm life where you re-build a derelict town with a pinch of romance for the player (perhaps not the biggest fan when you find a character to fawn over but alas..).

but what really takes the cake would be the papa louie franchise. play papa's burgeria in front of him and he's invested. essentially a backseat.. gamer? poking fun when you inevitably give a customer the wrong order, commenting on everything you do. you're stressing about burning burgers and jason's all up in your ear like "why's that character so.. rotund?", "that guy has a really big bald spot.", "would you still love me if my hair looked like that?"

thinking abt jason ranting abt ai but i cant really eloquently put it to words sosososoSO take this ok.

having dinner with jason is nice!

he makes you your favorite— be it macarons to curry, salmon smoked in a certain way, whatever— he'll make it. he's at your beck and call, especially in regards to your well being. even better when he's actually present for them as well. you talk to him about your day as jason nods along. he talks about his, occasionally. you think you like it better when he talks more.

like, today, for example. jason loves ranting! and, as he pours you a glass of water, he's pulling out random facts from his ass.

"do you ever think about how we only have around ten years of clean water left for us to use?"

"huh?"

"you know, with AI and all… isn't it weird that our resources are depleting at a faster rate because some rich, white guy wants to pretend to have a girl that actually likes him."

"does bruce do that?"

jason only snorts before gesturing you to drink up. "who knows? hell is murky."

jason, in my heart, is the kind of guy to have a small, tiny notebook. his commonplace notebook— an 'everything book', if you will— tucked in his pocket. his favorite thing to jot down? your random idiosyncrasies, stuff you quote on a daily; jotting them down in his neat penmanship. ranging from stuff you say when you stub a toe against the corner of the bed to the inside jokes you share.

i also think tim would do something similar, pooossibly preferring to lay it out in a more quantitative manner. he's weird. makes a tally chart on how many times you say his name and dedicates a few minutes daily to input it in a line graph, his own ritual to wind down after a long day. maybe makes a weekly overview on how many times you've said certain phrases too. FREAK!! (said with much love)

jason todd is a loser! l-o-s-e-r. 

he loves you, truly! you consume his thoughts, wholly. be it when you're together, away from each other, when he’s busy or when he’s free— you’re the first thing on his mind. you have him in a choke hold, veins constricted and he happily takes it. the general envisage of jason would probably be some bad ass edge lord with an affinity for guns. the latter may hold some truth, but you’re well acquainted with how much of a loser the man is whenever he’s in your vicinity. 

jason loves going through the books scattered around your room. from the ones neatly laid across your shelves to the messy piles on your desk. he loves flipping through the pages. loves looking through all the words and phrases highlighted, the ones circled with small hearts drawn around them, filing them away mentally, kept clandestine to you.

he’s learned love from media, mimicking what he wasn’t able to experience when he was younger. novellas, paintings, music. jason has kept art close to his heart. and, ever since meeting you, jason had taken it upon himself to give the love you deserve. so, surely reciting whatever lines you’ve ornamented with hearts would make you swoon… only for him to stumble over his words, hands clammy, mouth dry as he gawks at you before he could even get a quarter way through whatever he was about to say. the only response he got was a snort and a pinch of his cheek. 

oh, you have him in a choke hold and he’d let you decimate him.
