❝If a man is standing in the middle of the forest speaking and there is no woman around to hear him - is he still wrong?❞
It serves as a direct cry to a Higher Power. The song acts as a direct prayer. It touches on heavy social themes, lamenting human suffering, hunger, homelessness, and the "evil ways" of the world, ultimately pleading for divine guidance and intervention. Producer Arif Mardin LyRicS [Intro] Here's a song that I wrote about three weeks ago Every once in a while I like to write something to my Creator because I believe in Him "We Need You Right Now" [Verse 1] There's no one else to turn to But you, yeah You're the only answer to the situation That we've gotten ourself into [Chorus] So Master, won't you please come down And give us a helping hand 'Cause we need You, mhm We need You right now, mhm [Verse 2] There's a lot of people going hungry 'Cause they can't get nothin' to eat, woo-hoo-hoo There's a lot of people going naked, naked They ain't even got clothes to put on their feet [Chorus] So Master, won't you please come down, come down And give us a helping hand Hey, 'cause we need You Said we need You right now, ooh-hoo-hoo [Bridge] Right now Right now, Lordy Said we need You right now I said we need You, yes, we do We need You right now, mhm [Verse 3] I said man has gotten out of hand With his evil ways, yeah, yeah, yeah Can't you see that he, he isn't strong enough Just a little bit more each and every day [Chorus] So Master, won't you please come down And give us, Lord have mercy, a helping hand Hey, 'cause we need You, mhm We need You right now [Outro] Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo-hoo, oh Right now, Lord Hey, hey, right now Said we need you We need you, right now, mhm Hey, we need You, Lord have mercy Said we need You right now Woo-hoo-hoo-ooh, woo-hoo Yeah, right now, Lordy We need you, Lord Hey, hey, hey, hey, we need You, mhm, right now Said we need You, we need You, we need You We need You right now We need You right now, yeah We need You right now, yes, we do, oh We need You right now Hey, hey, hey, said we need You right now Hey, hey, I said we need You, mhm Yeah, hey, hey, said we need You Thank you, Lord, right now, yeah, yeah
Phoenix was conceived in the 1990s when vocalist Thomas Mars, bassist Deck d'Arcy, and guitarist Chris Mazzalai, who were all friends in school, started playing together as a "garage band" based out of Mars's house in the suburbs of Paris. In 1995, Laurent Brancowitz, Mazzalai's older brother, permanently joined the band on guitar after the end of Darlin', a short-lived band that Brancowitz had formed with Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (Bangalter and de Homem-Christo later formed Daft Punk). Two years later the band took on the name Phoenix and pressed 500 copies of a single on their own label, Ghettoblaster. Shortly after, they were signed to the Paris-based Source Records. Phoenix quickly became well acquainted with labelmates Air when they acted as their backing band on several UK TV appearances. Thomas Mars – lead vocals, drums, percussion (1999–present)Deck d'Arcy – bass, keyboards (1999–present) Laurent Brancowitz – guitar, keyboards (1999–present) Christian Mazzalai – guitar (1999–present) LyRicS Baby when I saw you turning at the end of the street I knew a time was gone and it took me like ages Just to understand that I was afraid to be a simple guy I tried my best to smile, but deep inside my heart I felt it was shouting like a crowd dancing I guess I couldn't live without the things that made my life what it is Can't you hear me calling, oh Everybody's dancing, oh Tonight everything is over I feel too young Tired out, not a miracle in days Deciders for the lonely whispering tears You try out for nothing then you drop dead Not a miracle in years Leisure for the lonely Whispering unnecessary unless you're in Die and succeed I say it out loud but you just don't care Farewell, til you know me well Farewell, til you know me well Girlfriend We are far from home, I am with you now I'm am longing you, I am longing us two Who bought a miracle sells these fortune tears December's death or glory how you want it? Raffaele Falzarano 💔 LyRicS You want more, and still more, Until you get more than you ever bargained for. Now its plain, clear as rain, I've seen your symptoms many times before. Lying on your bed of pain What will you have now? What are riches untold in a life without compassion? For there's no winter as cold As a life without compassion. There's no prescription that's sold That can heal you like compassion. Well you tried and you cried, And let your disappointment make you hard inside. You have doubt, you reach out, Still you're the only one you care about. Hiding in your sack of woe What do you need now? For there is nothing so sad As a life without compassion. And even love has turned bad, It was love without compassion. And you don't need what you had 'Cause you did not have compassion. Dying on your bed of pain What will you have now? You'll get no judgment from me, I can only feel compassion. And if that's what you need, I will give you my compassion. Just don't forget about me 'Cause we all need some compassion. Open up your heart So you can start to feel compassion. Get down on your knees, Pray to heaven for compassion. Everybody needs compassion. If you want to be healed Then you know you got to feel compassion Songwriters: Todd Rundgren Compassion lyrics © Warner/Chappell Music, Inc
As they walked about Clapton's garden. Eric Clapton talked about writing this song with Harrison: "It was one of those beautiful spring mornings. I think it was April, we were just walking around the garden with our guitars. I don't do that, you know? This is what George brought to the situation. He was just a magical guy... we sat down at the bottom of the garden, looking out, and the sun was shining; it was a beautiful morning, and he began to sing the opening lines and I just watched this thing come to life." LyRiCs Here comes the sun, doo, dun, doo, doo Here comes the sun, and I say It's all right Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here Here comes the sun, doo, dun, doo, doo Here comes the sun, and I say It's all right Little darling, the smile's returning to the faces Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here Here comes the sun Here comes the sun, and I say It's all right Sun, sun, sun, here it comes Sun, sun, sun, here it comes Sun, sun, sun, here it comes Sun, sun, sun, here it comes Sun, sun, sun, here it comes Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear Here comes the sun, doo, dun, doo, doo Here comes the sun, and I say It's all right Here comes the sun, doo, dun, doo, doo Here comes the sun It's all right It's all right Writer/s: George Harrison Publisher: BMG Rights Management Lyrics licensed and provided by LyricFind

Eric Clapton’s ‘Blue Eyes Blue’ Meaning | courtesy Seven Seconds Luxury Insights. By Rafael Santos At its heart, “Blue Eyes Blue” is a lament. It’s about the ache of missing someone and the profound sadness that fills the void they left behind. Clapton masterfully uses the imagery of “blue eyes” not just as a physical descriptor, but as a symbol of a lost love, a treasured memory, and the source of his current despair. The song paints a picture of a man adrift, consumed by memories and unable to escape the grip of his sorrow. The repetition of “blue eyes” throughout the song isn’t just descriptive; it’s a constant reminder of what he’s lost, the very thing that once brought him joy now serves as a source of his pain. It’s a classic Clapton move, taking a simple image and imbuing it with immense emotional weight. Blue eyes are often associated with innocence, purity, and a certain kind of ethereal beauty. For Clapton, in this song, they symbolize the captivating essence of the woman he loved and lost. It’s no secret that Eric Clapton’s life has been marked by profound personal tragedy, and “Blue Eyes Blue” is often interpreted through this lens. “Blue Eyes Blue” serves as a testament to the healing (or at least cathartic) power of music, allowing him to confront his demons and share his journey with the world. The blues genre itself is rooted in expressing hardship and sorrow, and Clapton, as a blues-rock icon, is a master of this form. He doesn’t just sing about pain; he inhabits it, making the listener feel it alongside him. So, why does “Blue Eyes Blue” continue to resonate with so many people, guys? It’s the unvarnished honesty and the deep well of emotion that Clapton taps into. In a world often filled with manufactured pop songs, a track like this, with its raw, bluesy feel and heartfelt lyrics, stands out. It speaks to universal themes of love, loss, and the enduring power of memory. Everyone, at some point, has experienced the ache of missing someone deeply, the feeling of being lost without them, or the bittersweet nature of remembering happier times. LyRiCs I thought that you'd be loving me I thought you were the one who'd stay forever But now forever's come and gone And I'm still here alone
'Cause you were only playing You were only playing with my heart I was never waiting I was never waiting for the tears to start
It was you who put the clouds around me It was you who made the tears fall down It was you who broke my heart in pieces It was you, it was you who made my blue eyes blue Oh, I never should have trusted you
I thought that I'd be all you need In your eyes I thought I saw my heaven And now my heaven's gone away And I'm out in the cold
'Cause you had me believing You had me believing in a lie Guess I couldn't see it I guess I couldn't see it till I saw goodbye
It was you who put the clouds around me It was you who made the tears fall down It was you who broke my heart in pieces It was you, it was you who made my blue eyes blue Oh, I never should have trusted you
'Cause you were only playing You were only playing with my heart I was never waiting I was never waiting for the tears to start
It was you who put the clouds around me It was you
It was you who put those clouds around me It was you who made those tears fall down Only you who broke my heart in pieces It was you, it was you who made my blue eyes blue Oh, I never should have trusted you
Oh, I never should have trusted you Oh, I never should have trusted you Oh, I never should have trusted you ♥
Dietrich Bonhoeffer made the observation that when lust takes control, “At this moment God…loses all reality… Satan does not fill us with hatred of God, but with forgetfulness of God.”
What a world of wisdom there is in this statement! When we are in the grip of lust, the reality of God fades… This is what lust does! It has done it millions of times. God disappears to lust-glazed eyes.

As traditional Irish music and dance continue to enjoy phenomenal success both here and in Ireland, Áine Minogue is an artist who has long explored its themes and who captures its very essence. Her voice reflects the lyricism and richness to be found in Irish music, mythology and poetry with a voice undeniably her own and a diverse group of instruments that add to the traditional flavor of her work. ~ Eating The Bread Of Opposition ~ Numbers 14:5-9 and John 4:31-35 You and I are not going into the life of Christ without opposition. Face it...Our strength is found in doing the will of God the Father. It enables me and it feeds my life and gives me the empowerment to get up in the morning and enter into this mountainous mass of human confusion and not be overwhelmed by it. To be able to endure the scorning, derision, sneer's and opposition of the temple leaders and all the other things going on. Their opposition will nurture us it will feed us...we do not have to fear. Paraphrased from a message by Pastor Carter Conlon
The title reflects a personal connection to wonder and exploration, rooted in watching the stars with her father. Emphasizes a focused, forward-looking perspective, aiming to see things more clearly or on a larger scale. "Eye To The Telescope" (feat. Shabaka)
They say the general public Is getting older And all the children out Far beyond their time The behavior of young ladies these days Is nothing but a crime Eye to the telescope Tears in the eye Heart in the mouth and Head in the sky
Perhaps it's wishful thinking And I'm a dreamer To find a way to make you Break into a laugh We're really not that different From a distance looking back Eye to the telescope Dreams in the glass Heart in the mouth and Stars in the black In the black.
