Strict parents when you finally tell them something be like "but you never expressed feeling that way before!!" Has it genuinely never occurred to you that maybe I don't like to tell you things I know don't want to hear??? 😭
Stardew Valley Expanded is absolutely insane so I've decided to characterize my farmer as increasingly tired about it.
Wizard: WAKE UP I GOTTA TEACH YOU MAGIC CUZ THE HIGH MAGIC COUNCIL SAID SO. NO COW MILKING FOR YOU TODAY!
My farmer, burying her face into her pillows: "Here's a farm," he said, "It will simplify your life when it gets overwhelming," he said.
Girl math
Sure, they can recreate HTTYD2 with real people. Some people might even like it.
But they will never, NEVER recreate that first teaser trailer where Hiccup took off his helmet for the first time and we all went feral over his glow up.
Being exposed to this scene at the ripe age of like 6 changed my brain chemistry.
Rereading Sword of Destiny and this excerpt from The Bounds of Reason has me wheezing.
"Those four years left their mark, Geralt. I'm over it now, which is the only reason why I didn't spit in your eyes during today's encounter. But don't let my civility deceive you."
"Yennefer . . . "
"Be quiet! I gave you more than I've ever given any other man, you scoundrel. I don't know, myself, why I gave it to you. And you . . . Oh no, my dear. I'm not a slut or an elf-woman met by chance in the forest, who can be discarded in the morning, walked out on without being woken, with a posy of violets left on the table. Who can be made a mockery of. Beware! Utter a single word and you will regret it!"
Geralt did not utter a single word, correctly sensing the anger seething in Yennefer.
That last line is just taking me out. Yennefer has spent the last two pages going off on Geralt for walking out on her without a word four years ago and it ends like:
Geralt, an empath, correctly shutted the fuck up.
I think it's a pity we didn't get to see Ciri terrorizing witchers at Kaer Morhen with scary "girl stuff" that scares and traumatizes men. I know she was raised in society where talking to men about it is taboo, and that she already knew about that stuff (we know Calanthe wanted to marry her off at 10, no way princess wasn't educated about stuff) but she was a growing girl in a fortress with only witchers to help her. I think it would be a great comedy to see those serious tough warriors mince words trying to answer questions of a girl they are supposed to take care of while they realize they have absolutely no idea how to actually handle. Would be even better if Ciri didn't actually need answers and made those conversations purely because she wanted to cause chaos and see her caretakers squirm uncomfortably
THE WITCHER 3 EXPANSION IS HAPPENING!!!!!
I feel too often Loki is written as a suave, dashing, charming, and alluringly dark love interest.
As a very very long time Loki apologist and Loki fangirl... I saw with all the love in my heart but...
Loki is a fucking loser LMAO.
Yes, he can be charming and talk his way into or out of any situation. But he's also selfish and childish and spoiled. He's a prince for norn's sake!
I like when Loki fics let that petulant and ridiculous side of him shine through. Let him be a whiny bitch who doesn't take reader's feelings into consideration, and then regrets it later. Let him get jealous and start a petty ass argument for no reason. Let him make mistakes or say rude things he doesn't mean.
LET LOKI BE A SHIT.
He is the OG shit. I love when he's difficult and petty and just plain pathetic. It's part of his charm!
Geralt: "Geralt." Yennefer: "Geralt." Ciri: "Geralt." Everyone else: "Geralt." Jaskier: "Geraoult!"
Witcher 3 is way more fun in terms of literally everything. It removed the inventory weight for everything except for combat related stuff (weapons & armors), and junk. So now I can finally farm items without worrying about inventory.
It also made the combat more engaging and rewarding. It gives you the ability to dodge instead of rolling and turning your back to the enemy. (it's quite effective to spam dodge and Quen to avoid getting hit). AND you can regenerate health in combat, it makes the game less punishing. I am pretty happy with this game. (I am playing in Normal difficulty this time)
I can see why people like this game a lot.
Jaskier is really making a name for himself as a wedding singer! Netflix Geralt and Yenn got married in the presence of their friends Frodo, Essi, Jaskier, Rita, Aiden, and Triss (with her artsy pink hair for a day).
Not book smart or street smart but a secret third thing.

I’m getting ads telling me to replace live porch flowers with plastic ones because the plastic ones don’t die and buddy I can tell you from personal experience that those flowers will fade until they look like they’ve achieved a new kind of death
