Hi! Sorry it a bit if a late reply we are super bad at checking tumblr, but yes, the answer is absolutely you can use Constellations as inspiration! Kinda insane that you want too, but hell yeah. It's insane that our silly little au has become popular enough for this.

And yes, other people! Lizzie/Joel/Etho/Bdubs is a fun little group! We really need to get on introducing them into our main stories/writing more for the others on their own. That being said, some canon facts we came up with (a mix of vanilla and non vanilla stuff):

bdubs (he/him):

im super weird I mean super normal about Impulse selling taco's. Like, I know this isn't the first time a Hermit has sold IRL inspired 'unhealthy' foods but something about the fact that he's doing it in a back alley...ho boy.

That taco truck /probably/ isn't supposed to be there and it /probably/ isn't very food safe. Well, no FDA (is that the right abbreviation?) to check food out here! Meaning, Impulse is free to do /whatever the hell he wants/ to those taco's.

There's probably way more calories in them than there should be. Maybe some kind of powder or maybe just straight up unhealthy ingredients. (Talking extra greasy meat, super calorie rich sauce...you get the gist.)

And they're borderline addictive, too. It's easy to get hooked on something so good and so cheap. Impulse knows this all too well. He's proud to be one of the food suppliers of the server. And he's proud of the extra weight his regulars have put on. Maybe...maybe it was a /little/ sneaky to do it behind their back but the taco's would never sell if he was transparent about how many calories were in them!! Yeah, that's why. No other reason. None at all.

The reason is not because False's belt is a few notches looser every time he sees her. Not because he can see pieces of his food floating around /inside/ of Jev (definitely not because he wishes that were him instead of a taco.) And not because he notices his friends need extra rockets to lift themselves up into the air when using their elytra. No, no. There's no other reason but sales.
