It was rare for Bob to find himself at the mercy of any sort of enemy, be it man or machine, but this one had him on the ropes. It appeared to be some kind of robot, with large pincers and surprisingly maneuverable wheels for feet, which seemed normal enough-- but none of his attacks had done the slightest bit of damage. What was this thing made of...?
Being repeatedly electrocuted and tossed around like a ragdoll had left him in a weakened state, and he found himself struggling to stand, his limbs aching with each ragged breath he took. The mech was quickly advancing, its claws alight with glowing, blue sparks, and he could only brace himself and hope for the best.

It had been normal enough -- a car careened off-road into a ditch, people were trapped inside, the works. And Bob just so happened to be passing by. Rescuing the passengers from their metallic heap of a prison didn’t take long (he passed off his ability to rip the doors off their hinges to the car’s already damaged state) and after a quick call on Bob’s cell phone, they were rushed off in an ambulance in no time. Under the assumption that no one else was around (as it was a lesser-traveled stretch of road), he dropped back down into the ditch before hoisting the car high above his head and carrying it up the embankment. What he didn’t count on was the teenage girl standing in the middle of the road... with an all-too-familiar head of red hair.

For fourteen years, the name ‘Bomb Voyage’ had held no meaning. No relevance. And then, out of the blue, a series of reported “terrorist attacks” in France had caught his eye. They were all the same: bank robberies and jewel thefts, all executed with the help of professional-grade bombs-- an M.O. that struck a familiar chord in Bob’s mind. He’d immediately booked a light and traveled to Voyage’s supposed hideout, looking for the lanky mime that had escaped his grasp all those years ago... and it seemed a Parisian local had the same agenda.

❝ Oh, fantastic. ❞ It’s muttered, but just loud enough that the approaching redhead hears the irritation and utter disdain in the young Super’s tone. He really shouldn’t have been so critical of Kent; after all, Supers needed to stick together in order to thrive-- but Kent seemed so critical of his own abilities, like he wanted to keep them hidden from the rest of the world. As the age-old saying went, to each his own, but Bob couldn’t fathom hiding greatness, especially when said greatness could potentially help those in need. ❝ What is it this time, Mansley? ❞
I can’t lose you again! I can’t. Not again. I’m not strong enough.
