I'm still bouncing between blogs, I'll do some redecorating on here and post a starter call. I've been avoiding icon making because it's a chore and there's nothing of Luke. But yes, also may be interested in posting a thing about the Defenders.

With some friends. Can’t live with them. Can’t live without them.
foundingavenger:
She attempted to read his face; from the information she could gather, he was in this prison on interesting grounds. A lot of noise floated around that he was not guilty, under another guise. Others are convived he is, but should be waived for practically saving the day.
“ I’m mostly located in upper Manhattan, from Van Dyne Industries. We cover a…WIDE range of industries. ” Van Dyne Industries was a combination of Janet’s more premature fashion empire and the scientific lab force of her late father. The latter branch is less well know due to the sensitive research conducted. One could see how she wasn’t eager to say that inside of a prison laced with OFFICERS and cameras. So she’d have to probe a bit more to interest him.
She gives a short small laugh as she continues. “ As you can imagine, I’ve seen your work on the news. And it leads me to wonder why a man as influential as you is allowing himself to be stuck here ? ”
Idle as he was, the man had given her his entire attention. The way she'd answered the question sounded prepared or rather practiced in a way. He could very well imagine the same answer had been given to countless others in such a 'formal' setting. Hardly aiming to taunt the other, he spoke easily enough.
"Because I was tried and convicted of a crime I didn't commit. I did my running. And sure, I could break out of here and go right back to it but I'm not going to. If you're here for some piece on the black man who saved Harlem you can run along back to upper Manhattan. To your fashion shows and talk about the freak who took out another over champagne. What you don't understand is, the moment I 'excuse myself' from prison, then what? A witch hunt through the city, police cracking down on Harlem. You're not the first person to come through here. And you won’t be the last."
Easing the receiver from his ear, he had been more than prepared to hang it up.

The glass window presented her with a faint reflection as she waited for the arrival of the man on the other side. This gave her a little bit more time to think, although, she was sure of what she wanted. Or NEEDED, in this case. One would think she had nothing to lose by coming here, but in fact, she was putting everything she had left on the line. That is IF he accepts.
No time to get cold feet is she was going to back down, for there he was, about to sit down. Janet already identified the suspicious and confused expression of the man’s face. He seemed even more powerful in person; this has to be the right choice. Her manicured fingers picked up the two-way phone as she regarded him behind the glass. “ Mr Cage, we’ve never met. But I’d like to think you have an open mind. ”
Confusion might have been the initial suspect for the emotion he felt. From the few days he'd returned to the ocean locked prison he'd gathered the likelihood of visitors given the news reports on his abilities. He hadn't kept himself hidden. That much had been for certain.
But when he'd been beckoned, the trek to the visitation booths had been cleared permitting him to be directed precisely where they wanted him. What he hadn't expected had been what lurked on the opposing side of the glass.
In unison, a hand had reached for the receiver before placing it to his ear. He’d been willing at the very least to hear her out. She wasn’t a reporter, that much had been for certain. Particularly though, her initial response left him all the more curious particularly who she was.
“Where are you from, Miss?”
Starter call.

@indefense sent 💗 to kiss Jess tenderly without explanation
Jessica dipped her head a little to hide her smile and the faint blush in her cheeks. She absolutely had not leaned into Luke’s kiss, his touch like she needed it to stay upright. An entirely different kind of addiction. “You’re such a goddamn sap,” she grumbled.
It had been the light touch against her chin that might have coerced their eyes to meet again. Smiling briefly enough, he'd gladly indulge her.
"Comin' from you? I think I can live with that if it gets me another kiss?" Baiting her with ease, his free hand had come to rest at her waist. The fact it had been in public hardly a compromising factor.
