An almost child-like wonder lights up her otherwise dead eyes as she clasps her hands together. A tail flicks upward and wags a little while she thinks about her hopes and wishes, eager to share.

"Well! I hope to the gods above and below that I can successfully finish this Game and be done with it... aaaaand," she tilts her head, "well. Sometimes I wish stealing time didn't have such big consequences! I just like to sneak some more time with my loved ones I know aren't beyond the Veil. Is that so much to ask??"

Lady has played a major part in not one, not two, but three multiversal wars now.

The Distinctly Dreaming timeline was one hell of a time. Between a Guardian gone rogue, Titans and Void Gods being woken up and wreaking hell, and an omniversal hivemind trying to wipe timelines from existence, Ladyette has lived quite the life the past few "years." Her mind has grown, and with it, her power.

She is now what's called a Cycle Breaker - an entity made by the omniverse (not just one multiverse... but All of Everything:tm: ) to break potential loops and pick out problem multiverses to challenge. Her entire job revolves around making sure a multiverse stuck in it's ways is up to snuff to break out of it... or break that multiverse herself.

Despite it all, in the end, the only real answer to her story was Death. Much like all of us one day, Lady had to face the consequences of her meddling - and break her own cycle the only way she knew how: a violently swung sword through her own body.

Present day, she is still recovering from witnessing a permanent death for herself - one the cyclical prophesy in Distinct foretold all along.

Ladyette now fears lightning and rain.

It used to be one of her favorite things, rain and thunder. She used to sit outside and listen, smell the dirt and grass whenever it thundered, to relish in the cool, calm, gentle weather.

However, in the Distinctly Dreaming timeline, thunder always premeditated horrific violence and pain. Lightning became a means to tell if someone powerful was angry - as well as a weapon that struck her one too many times to enjoy. Rain never meant rain, something always was afoot should the rain come around. The very last time she stood in that timeline, sword in hand, it rained when she had to kill the future version of herself that managed to go back. As the perfect vision of herself 100k years in the future bled out on the ground, evaporating and absorbing into her present-day being... a singular lightning strike in the lake behind her nearly threw her entire body into a panic.

Lightning brings pain and suffering. Thunder means war. Rain... rain will never be gentle or calm again. Even with the nights spent by her new partner's side, even when he kisses her fears away and spends her panic spells holding her. There will always be something within her that fears the rain.
