February 25, 2020⁣ ⁣ It’s my birthday and I am #birthdayblessed I took a pause to reflect. I know many people do this at the beginning on the year but I choose to do this on the day of my birthday. For me that’s when the new year for my life starts. I take the time to celebrate not just my life but my growth, development and achievements from the year before. ⁣ ⁣ Many have asked me if I feel old at 33 or if I feel anything has changed and while the past few years I was hoping things would change this year I know that changes are not just going to happen but in process. ⁣ ⁣ Having #favor is a responsibility that many don’t talk about, they speak about what that favor gets them but not what it costs them. I saw the vision God had for my life at a young age, but I also knew that I wasn’t ready to handle all that would come with those blessings.⁣ As I have grown I have become something greater than I could have imagined. Many have said that I have the spirit and heart that reminds them of angels. A creature God created to serve and for the most part receive nothing in return. Those people see my angelic qualities and forget that I’m human. That I require that which I give and my actions are not just to serve but to teach. Teach others how I want to be treated. Only for them to behave as if I’ve provided no blueprint; no example of my love requirements. Leaving me to continue to serve and give without ever getting the replenishments necessary to continue the process. Causing me to metaphorically kill myself in the effort to save someone else. A risk I can’t afford to take and a price I’m not willing to pay. Today is both full of joy and full of pain. I sit in the middle of emotions as I celebrate my daughters birthday and prepare to view your body. It still seems unreal, it seems like just yesterday we were celebrating your release and talking about our childhood. Now today I have to deal with never being able to hear your voice or see your face.
