With the main entrance through the large archway on the left, the Taj Mahal is seen from an angle showing how it appears the same regardless of which side you are facing it.

Intricate relief on the ceiling of the entrance portico of the Taj Mahal is nearly hidden within the white marble until the shadows and contrast are just right.

Old Delhi

The pigeons come in for a landing.

As seen from the rooftop of a brass furnishings wholesaler in Old Delhi, the business owner's pigeons fly around us before coming back to land on the rooftop.  The Jama Masjid, or Old Delhi Mosque (begun in 1644) can be seen in the background.

The proprietor of a brass furnishings wholesaler takes me to the rooftop of his store over Old Delhi where he keeps a flock of pigeons that will fly, on command, around the building and come back again.
