It became routine that we get bus at sunday night to reach Chennai, not always I come here exactly the same way everytime when I reach my home at Chennai. This time also I had a great adventure to reach my home at chennai.
Mostly the bus will reach the koyembedu bus depo at 6.30 or max 7.00 A.M. But, monday morning when I woke up its 7.00 and still I am on the way from Thambaram. Yep First day of week started with full traffic bus is moving inch by inch. Vadapallani came most of them got down from the bus except me and two more and bus took diversion. I thought the driver was so clever, so he was taking diversion for going in a non traffic road. T- Nagar came and I saw a board Chennai Egmore 2 More KM's, now all my thinking is why is stupid driver is roaming around chennai. Then came the surprise.
Driver stopped the bus at egmore and conductor said please all get down Chennai came, I rushed up to him and asked This wont goto Koyembedu ? Conductor shocked and asked Why sir you didnt get down at Vadapalani ? There was more traffic so bus didnt go there ! Now I realised who's stupid. Time is going to be 8 and I'm damn sure that I am standing the midst of peak hours in Chennai.
To get a bus or train surley I need a change but I had only 50 rupees note, I went up to the tea stall and ordered a tea and got back 44 rupees and added to the 2 rupees which I already had. I called up my friend and asked how to reach ambatur from egmore he told me get 40 A. The moment he kept the phone I saw the bus coming free in the opposite road. I ran towards it with nearly 10 kg of luggage and asked the conductor whether it will goto ambattur he looked me upside down and said you should wait in the opposite dirction.
Twenty minutes went no bus came, no share auto, starring at all the bus no's still no sign of the bus. Like taking a brave action I decided to board the tarin but where is the ticket counter I asked a few they told me cross the over bridge and go there is no sign of it. Finally got the direction from a nice lady she told take the bridge and go towards left. WTH! there was four counters and all having more than thirty persons in each I saw which que is moving fast and stood towards that counter. As always the case the que which I am standing moved dead slow than others, Finally got my ticket.
Now I dunno what direction the train will go, again I called my friend and he said we have to get two trains :( whats worse than standing with a empty stomach having more luggage in hand in the midst of huge crowd, only one point charge left in mobile cant hear songs and its already 9.30. The train came, what is there a first class in local train I never knew that so I had to get into another coach and got down at the park ( Thanks for some good people who actually answered my every query !) Now have to cross the full traffic road. When standing in the middle of the road I saw there was a subway OMG please save me. After few minutes I got chance to cross the road and I saw people running. I didnt run and I cant with the luggages.
Reaching the station I saw a tarin starting and I am not stupid to understand that really i missed that train. I asked few they said I have to wait for another fifteen minutes. Oh! no strangers, one guy came and sat next to me and started to talk with me and asked how to moves songs from one folder to other I explained him and moved away. The train came and I got a seat and reached ambattur now I have to options walk 2 km amd reach home or get a crowded bus with having no change and with luggage I choose the first and yeah what an awesome trip I reached home at neary 11 A.M
If you want to reach early ask conductor whether the bus will go else if you want to take adventure get down at unknown place
