Hello! My name is Cinders and I go around the internet by indycinders usually. If you want to know more about me personally, you can check out my carrd here, or my main blog here.

This blog is now converting into an all new game development blog, where I will be releasing games and showcasing the WIPs of said games. Any and all questions are welcome!

What's he playing at?

Welcome to Johnny's Game, a visual novel set in modern times in a little laundromat called Sunny's. 

You play you, whoever you are, a person that frequents Sunny's Laundromat. You've begun to get close to the attendant there, an older man named Johnny Sinclair. As the weeks progress, so does Johnny's quirks and odd behaviors. 

When it all comes to a head, you will know whether or not you managed to save a life.

CW: obsessive attention, stalking-ish behaviors, mentions of guns, mentions of violence, suicide, blood.

I'm not quite sure he fits the cookie cutter mold of yandere, but he's more of a soft-yandere, or in the beginning stages of it. Idk man, I just make the games. xD

devlog 4/6/26

hello preciouses

today i've got a few different sneak peeks to throw at ya. i don't want to share full scale images because i want some surprise here lmao

these are all from Johnny's Game. I'm currently 1/4 through with writing the draft, but I've got his sprite coded in, GUI done, some other assets have been added, and the backgrounds are done. Overall, we're about 60% done, with the remaining 40% being writing, editing, and refining <3

that's about it. i'm gonna keep chugging along over here uvu

Promo poster for Johnny's Game!

Johnny Sinclair is the attendant at the laundromat you frequent. He's older, a little weird, and sometimes too friendly, but you chalk it up to his loneliness. Each week you spend Sunday at Sunny's Laundromat, the closer you get with Johnny. When he offers you a discounted day, will you take it, or do the smart thing and put some distance between you?

Johnny's Game is currently a work-in-progress. It's planned to be a bite-sized yandere game with only one LI. It'll feature four 'weeks' and around 3-4 endings.

after some consideration, I will be transforming this blog into a sole-game-developing blog, which means everyone will start seeing the progress of the other games i'm currently working on.

figured people would get tired of constantly having to follow new blogs just to get updates on something .w.

dupe stuff will still be here, too. i'll be making a new pinned post with links to tags and all that when i'm not feeling tired as hell. it'll be great i swear /silly

LRCSS devlog 2/21/26

showcasing the menu, dialogue, textbox and character creation screen 🩵✨

we're getting along. i'm working on jericho's redone sprite, just a few more expression things and then onto coloring. i have venom's ready to work on next as well. all of the backgrounds and most of the music has been chosen too. :3c

the main part is writing, because there's two main branches and 4 different LIs, so it's a challenge. i'll be making the demo the first scene of the townie experience thru all 4 LIs so be on the lookout for that <3

devlog 1/7/2026

I hate making these posts because it genuinely makes me feel like just another one of "those" devs. But honestly, I'm putting Duplicity on an indefinite hiatus. Right now, I don't have the focus to put the work into it that it needs.

I'm tired of it feeling like an elephant just looming over my shoulder and it's making me feel like I can't enjoy doing anything else. It's becoming a chore rather than something that I like working on.

I could also blame this on my shift to a more dark romance genre rather than yandere. I'm finding myself writing and leaning towards that, and it's not something that works with the yandere genre. I don't want to perpetuate nor condone toxic relationships or obsessive love by mixing the two together.

Or something like that. (had a long day, no thoughts, head empty)

Anyway, for now, Dupe will be suspended. Feel free to continue sending asks, I'll still answer those. But art and other stuff are on the back burner for now until I can love it again.
