#Pre-Wall Ellie was operating for a rival organization to the Toppats #A convicted arsonist with a plethora of minor charges #Ellie used to be very hands-off when it came to heists...only working as the middle man between the organization and buyers #Honestly if they'd been in the same area she and Henry would have crossed paths way sooner #She's also stealing things for herself on the side #Her 'teammates' catch onto this and when things go down they're more than happy to leave her behind #She gets mistaken for a Toppat and gets thrown into the wall and well #She both is grateful for a rues the day #Both. Often within the same day. Same situation. Midsentence.

His crisis is already over by this point.#Henry's is just beginning.

Henry loves missions where they go undercover.

#Ellie's usually his date in her suits #Charles is either on the outside or using his natural charm to get Toppats wrapped around his fingers #Henry is a quiet and lovely creature who can play parts if he doesn't get distracted #He's not gonna complain about the satin dresses and gold jewelry anyway #Yes he does know he's beautiful #He WILL complain about all of this and have a wonderful time anyway #His love of undercover missions is as covert as his team #Meaning: It really should be secret but everyone knows

#An excuse to draw our old men in casual clothing #Right is a chameleon who will adapt to whatever area he's in and that includes their normal garb #But Reginald has A Look and he thinks it's great and there's really no changing his mind #It's certainly A Look #Something nice must be happening here...almost like it's an occasion of sorts

#Self-esteem issues personified: It's Sven!#Constantly surrounded by the ghosts of previous Leaders #Hand-chosen by one of the Biggest Bastards in the Clan to be a successor #Only to get upstaged by some second-rate hack nobody ever heard about until he got lucky and swiped a diamond #Sven's reduced to being nobody yet again and just a General Disappointment #He's harder on himself than anyone is on him #Dresses like a Victorian Orphan #Acts like a Depressed College Student #Talks like a Middle-Aged Businessman on His 3rd Divorce Desperate for Human Contact #All too formal and rambly and oversharing in nervous lilting bits #The boy is tired and needs a break

This specific moment is a Toppat!Charles timeline but honestly? Very few things differ between this guy and 'canon' Charles.

#Charles has always been....excitable #Any time he's needed Bold Action Man is THERE #Any time he's NOT needed #He is also there #When you DO NOT WANT HIM THERE #Bold Action Maaaaan #Henry just wanted a simple pickup #He told his new best friend that he's got a great guy who was trustworthy and brave and reckless and handsome...#And a random aircraft comes hurtling at them soon after #Ellie is Concern

#Some people may try to tell you he's a man with one braincell #Incorrect #He is a man with many braincells who operates with 1 active at a time #You see it's for many reasons that he and Henry are soulmates #He's obnoxious and clingy and way too impulsive for someone of his rank #But with his two thieving pals he really fits right in with their way of doing things while remaining The Guy With Morals #It's only with Triple Threat that Charles really starts feeling that sense of belonging people spend their lives chasing #TT is his family and they bond together over adventure and mishaps and terrible plans gone both right and wrong #And millions of dollars in aircrafts constantly being smashed into various structures

#This was an alternate take on her Toppat clothing #But she could just as easily wear it on missions where they have to blend in with Toppat's most Elite #She pretends she doesn't look forward to these #She doesn't like them as much as the boys do #But there's something to be said for going undercover looking your best and ripping the rug from under someone's feet #Ellie's love of vengeance can let her get carried away #And the boys will probably just go along with it #Somehow in these situations Henry's usually the one to temper her #She loves Charles make no mistake. But she's not apt to actually listen to him often
