As an avid subscriber to the "Loki was tortured and mind-controlled by Thanos to destroy New York" theory and an avid Frostiron shipper, I think that if Loki and Tony were together during Civil War, several of the events never would have happened, namely, Tony would never have tried to kill Bucky. Allow me to explain:

If Loki and Tony were a couple (this, assuming the mind control HC is true), Tony would have known about how Loki was mind controlled during New York and would have understood that Bucky was going through the same thing when he killed Tony's parents. Knowing the hell that Loki went through to get to his point, Tony would know that Bucky was put through hell to get to the point of being The Winter Soldier as that concept would be nowhere near foreign to him

MCU Loki could have easily torn Thanos apart in Infinity War but the Russo's are cowards and wouldn't show Loki's telekinetic abilities, energy blasts, mental manipulation (not to the extent of you know, Professor X, but it is still there), or ability to manipulate matter and had him go after Thanos with a damn butterknife and it pisses me off SO BAD.
