“I don’t know dad…. It was kinda gruesome.” Ivy said and then shrugged. “Oh well, there’s nothing we can do about it I guess.”
“I have no problem with their being dead bodies, gruesome or not. It is easy to cover up when you’re a Mikaelson.” Klaus shrugged. “Exactly. I’m sure the services sorted.”

“Oh daddy, you really think first I move out will be with one of my girls? By myself, perhaps, if I’m allowed to take the staff with me.” She laughed. “No..I kinda moved in together with Andrew..you remember? My boyfriend, I went with him to prom and so on..”
“I’d have hoped so.” Klaus muttered, leaning back in his seat. “Hm. I remember.” Of course Klaus wasn’t too happy that another man was stealing his daughter away from him but he wasn’t going to voice that yet.

Jamie rolled his eyes and shook his head “or you’re just arrogant” he mumbled.
Klaus chuckled to himself again, “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t. It is also called being confident.”

“Issues?” He asks and raised an eyebrow. “you’re one of those guys who talks in riddles I see” he rolled his eyes and then coughed again.
“Or I have been through a lot of eras that speak in different ways that it confuses your modern mind.” Klaus chuckled to himself.

Jamie frowned “just answer my question” he says and then grabbed his drink and swirled it around the glass before taking a drink out of it.
“Respect is a basic feature of life. If you do not respect me, I have to make respect happen - most likely through fear.” He explained. “If you do not have respect, then you are against me and that is when issues arise..”
“This and so many other threats were my favourite goodnight stories my enchanting mother never bothered to read to me. Well runner-up were the ripper stories, but they got boring after I praticed them myself.”
“I admire your spirit though... and your clear hatred for your parents.” Klaus smirked to himself. “I’m assuming a son of Stefan and Katerina’s, correct?”

“Why are you so bothered anyway? Most people wouldn’t bother if they had the respect of a 21 year old” he shrugged a little
“Ah the youths of today.” Klaus looked up with a smile before rolling his eyes. “It’s alright, you wouldn’t understand if you have had to ask the question.”

Jamie sat back down and collapsed into the stool, in pain but tried not to let it show too much. “I’ll stay out of yur way if you stay out of mine” he coughed out and then nodded to the bartender and then his glass for another drink.
Klaus allowed him to sit back down. “That’s the spirit.” Klaus laughed, taking a napkin from the bar and wiping his hand of blood.

Jamie felt himself go flying across the bar and he just sighed. First the fight with Harry, then the problem with Cassie, and now this. Vampires were ruining his week. He got up and gripped his chest as he coughed a few times. Fuck, this hurt way worse than anything Harry or Cassie did.
“Another drink wouldn’t go amiss.” Klaus raised his glass to the bartender opposite him who quickly refilled his drink to not anger the hybrid further. He didn’t bother to look in Jamie’s direction. Giving him time to recover.

Jamie sat up straight and coughed when he felt his fingers rip through his chest and he struggled to breathe properly “Go on then… rip it out” he managed to get out as he clenched his jaw.
Klaus laughed as he told him to do it. Klaus stood up, lifting the boy up more and looking to him. “But that would end your miserable life. Besides, I prefer to play with my prey first.” He released his heart from his grip but threw him across the bar, sitting back down, finishing his drink.

“As if you would actually rip out my tongue” he laughed “I see you’re a guy with all bark but no bite” he commented and rolled his eyes “You’re one of those people that tries to intimidate others by using empty threats, because we all know you aren’t going to rip out my tongue regardless of what I say”
“No... you’re right.” Klaus placed his glass back down on the bar. “I’m not going to rip your tongue out.” He paused. Without much more hesitation, his hand went through the other boys chest to grip his heart, squeezing it. “I much prefer feeling a heart beating against my hand. Tongues are a far too strange texture to hold.”

“I don’t care who you are. You are not of any interest to me to warrant me having your respect okay?” He said and then rolled his eyes “and in regards to the fight, if he had been human he’d be a lot worse off” he commented and then downed his drink and placed the glass back on the bar infront of himwith a clenched fist. Even just thinking about Harry made him angry.
“And now you’re trying to rationalize yourself in your head. It’s really quite funny to watch the mind work.” Klaus laughed at the young boy. “Whether you respect me or not, I would have to remind you to be very careful of your tongue. Tongues are things that are very easy to rip out when one is annoyed at anothers constant yapping.”

Jamie clenched his jaw “And who says that the other guy walked away prstine? Who’s to say they didn’t walk away with more cuts and bruises than what’s on my face? Who’s to say that I didn’t get off lightly and they’re injuries are a lot worse” he says and then looked at him “Oh and a thousand years or not, you don’t get my respect till you earn it, the same as everybody else and the same as I have to earn respect aswell, and before you give me the who le ‘well you’re notdoing a very good job of earning it’ shit, who says I want it?” he asks
Klaus looked to the boy as he seemed to get angrier and smiled. “The fact you’re being so defensive indicates that he didn’t come off as bad as you’re trying to say. You are questioning it, not stating it.” The hybrid answered. He took a sip of his scotch, swirling the glass in his palm and moved his grip to look at it better. “I’d say you should want it, considering exactly who I am. A man you would prefer not to have as an enemy.”

“Respect is earned, not just given” Jamie says “I hate it when my ‘elders’ think they automatically deserve respect” He says emphasising the word elders. “Yes I did. But that was being polite. I don’t actually want to help you” he says as if clearing something up as the bartender bought their drinks over.
Klaus rested his elbows on the bar, clasping his hands together. “Most of the time, we do and lets not forget that I have a thousand years and more on top of you. I think that deserves more respect than you shall ever be given.” The hybrid spoke, raising an eyebrow. “Though I see you have already annoyed the wrong person beforehand and clearly not learnt your lesson.” He noticed the bruising on his face and chuckled, taking a sip of his drink.

Jamie turned and raised an eyebrow at him “Learn some manners? I get through life fine thank you very much” he rolled his eyes and then ordered anther drink too. “But why would I help you?” he asks before looking back at the bar again.
As the young boy began to argue back, Klaus smirked to himself - refraining somewhat from harming the annoyance next to him. “It is simple really. Looking to someone when you speak to them. Respecting your elders. Etcetera.” He gestured his final word with a roll of his hand. “Well, if I do recall, you did ask me precisely 30 seconds ago ‘how may I help you?’. I answered your question.”
“Oh yeah don’t worry about that. You know we are amazing at organizing, especially when it’s about cleaning up. Although… At the last party… There were a lot of drained bodies. We always have one, but now there were five which I thought was pretty unusual..”
“Back when I threw the parties, I made sure there were more than five bodies just for myself. Let alone the guests.” He chuckled. “No, five bodies is nothing to worry about.”
