I'm finally trying to get my thoughts in order for full Pitt character designation HCs but am struggling. I dislike the rigid "omegas submissive, alphas domiannt, etc etc" descriptions so I've utilised the humble venn diagram:

I can't tell if some traits overlap just with different wording on my part, or if it makes any sense at all agh!!

Anyway, so far I have:

Omegas: Samira, Cassie, Langdon

Betas: Victoria, Heather, Garcia, Robby, Whitaker

Alphas: Mel, Trinity, Jack, Dana

On one hand I'm alright with the distribution for fic purposes, but on the other something feels off and I can't put my finger on it SOB

Spreading my alpha Mel King agenda again. She is kind and soft and sweet, confident in herself and her abilities but struggles when that placement is shaken. Absolutely scents some of the omegas in the Pitt if there's an aggressive alpha they have to go treat, just to make sure. She wants to help keep them safe.

Overexcitable at times, she presented a little late in life and learned how to control her scent so fast with how quickly it grated on Becca. She used to use suppressants too much because the change and fluctuation rut brought was the most frustrating thing in the world.

Alpha Mel who took time to get used to her designation and the weight with it, but at the end of the day learns how to appreciate herself fully and how to be comfortable with it. How to exist in her own skin.

In my head I formulate Mohan/McKay as like the perfected casual relationship Garcia/Santos thought they could have.

They both kind of wandered into it after complaining with each other for months about how lonely they are. Mohan is the first one to bring it up like "oh my god this is so stupid, let's just go on a date with each other and just pretend." McKay agrees cause she thinks it would be fun, of course (Mohan didn't even think she'd take it seriously, didn't even know if she meant it seriously). And while they are out they just talk about how smart they are for thinking of it, and how stupid it is to be alone. It takes them like 2 'dates' before they start kissing and only one more before they have sex and they're both like hell yeah this is great.

And it's weird b/c they don't really see each other as girlfriends or partners but now just don't feel the need to spend time to find anyone else. It seems loveless and based on convenience, and while the latter is true, it's not loveless but maybe just a kind of love someone who's had... extremely rough relationships in the past topped with a divorce, or someone who's only dated 2 people their entire life and got broken up with both times, is most comfortable with.

They plan at least one date night a month, usually do two, but not much more than that. McKay tells Harrison she's hanging out with mommy's coworker. That's the only thing that makes it tough, since Mohan wants a kid so bad but it doesn't feel right to enter into Harrison's life. But spending time with each other takes the edge off, and makes them both feel busy and like normal adults.

Their sexual dynamic is funny cause they both are true verses. Mohan is a control freak who can't always put away her need to be the boss, but when she gets just lightly teased is a flustered mess. McKay is a chill girl who has an unexpected dashing prince side that can sweep someone off their feet but usually is silly goofy which plays well against Mohan's persnickety-ness.

They don't really know how long they'll be doing this, and they don't care. It's easy and convenient and they lowkey are falling for each other but don't feel the need to say it since they both understand after it's been months and months of neither bringing up how lonely they are.
