And if he pushed...well he could get down to the secret she really didn't want him to know. The one that would make every single word he had just said to her untrue. The one that would ruin her life. She stayed silent for only another moment more before sighing heavily and looking Titus in the eye.] Clio. It was Clio, okay? [Though she would never admit it, Clio was one of the few people outside of Titus and her family that she actually cared at all about. The vision had come in the night, before the tall blonde's birthday, the day that Ilena's life had changed irreversibly.] You were taking too long, and I couldn't run the risk that you weren't going to kill him. Or else...well, that would be another vision coming true that I wouldn't be able to stop. And I swore a long time ago that would never happen again.

Ilena, you’re not a freak. Besides, who gives a fuck what anyone else has to say about those visions of yours? In the end they’ll be the ones begging at your feet for mercy. *He sighed, shaking his head slightly* You’re just as powerful without your visions or that other hypnotic stuff you do, whether you believe that or not. You’re a witch for Merlin’s sake, not just some weapon that we come to only when needed.

Are you sure about that? It doesn't feel like it sometimes, Titus. [She sighed.] I saw him killing one of ours. A Death Eater. The half-blood scum was going to hurt one of us, someone who is actually worthy of a wand. That couldn't happen. And he said he knew what I was. A seer, I assume he meant. No one else needs to know that. No one needs to know my secrets but me.

Okay. I get that bu-…*He sighed, shaking his head* You know what? Nevermind. I’m not going to keep arguing with you if you keep feeding me the same thing over and over again. There’s something else, isn’t there? I know you too well. I just don’t understand as to why you wouldn’t tell me. Or anyone else for that matter.

Of course there's something else. Do you think I'd just kill someone for the sake of killing someone? I'm may be many things, but I'm not like that. [She sighed and crossed her arms.] Do you think it's easy, having visions, and keeping secrets and knowing things that are going to happen that you're not going to be able to stop? To grow up telling people and having them look at you like you're absolutely bloody insane? Or worse, having them look at you like you're not a person any more, but a weapon? Having them look at you and think that you don't matter, only what you see does? Can you really blame me for not wanting to tell anyone?

That depends. Are you ever going to tell me as to why you did it in the first place? You still haven’t given me an answer.

You think? I’m not so sure. Everyone has things on their mind. I agree that people should slow down and think, but perhaps something big was on their mind and they really needed to get home or to work before it happened.

Or, and correct me if I'm wrong here, they could do what most people do and completely ignore it so they can walk down the street and pay attention to where they're going so they don't hurt anyone.

How the hell could it have gotten us killed, Titus? Who would have killed us? Dead Fred? Roxanne? [She rolled her eyes.] Whether or not you could have done it yourself is completely irrelevant. You're friends with Roxanne, or at least you were pretending to be. At least this way you can blame it all on me. Besides, what were you even planning on doing? Letting them walk away? To go back to the castle and tell everyone what I am, I mean, what we are? His dying bought us silence. Besides, he was only a halfblood. Worthless.
