that one twitter meme from earlier this year
Hello everyone! I’m doing a fundraiser for me and my s/o! We’re going to the state fair this year as her family has already pre-paid for tickets to enter! We have til Oct, 17th as that’s when we go!
But we actually want to do stuff this year instead of just walking around and looking at stuff. We want to ride rides, play games, enjoy at least 2 meals without having to settle for pb&j’s outside the fair in our car.

A bit of backstory in the world for you all:
Albert Wesker was Captain of S.T.A.R.S, and a scientist for Umbrella… once upon a time. But after what many call “The Event” occured four years ago, Wesker, as well as majority of S.T.A.R.S, and a third of the human population turned into hybrids, creatures that have human bodies still, but animal ears and tails, and clawed nails and eyes. He himself finding he’s become a Doberman hybrid. Controversy arose as humanity struggled to handle the concept of these new hybrids.
To the point some places including some states in the US see the new hybrids as less than worthy of basic human rights. Stripping them of title, citizenship, and freedom, turning them into little more than pets to be adopted… unfortunately Wesker fell into this area. Considered highly aggressive due to his own ego being greater than other’s want for him to become an obedient pet.
At some point he got dumped with his new owner, (you) and is now dealing with being little more than your pet. Which he hates. Not to mention by instincts by a hybrid make him… unruly in many other ways now.
And the start of my conversation with him is funny:

I love how you can really see the small differences between Chris and Leon's approaches in Death Island 'cause Chris takes the "I'll beat a motherfucker with another motherfucker" approach aka close-range combat (please tell me someone understands that reference) and Leon tends to use long-range combat like when he kicks the gas can and shoots it to destroy the Lickers.
Leon is also a hell of a lot more agile than Chris is, as shown when they get launched into the air. Chris flails and tries to put his hands out to catch himself (big mistake) and Leon tucks and rolls, landing on his feet like a cat.
(Someone on Twitter said Leon's a professional ragdoll at this point so he's used to getting tossed around but Chris isn't, which is why he flails and I thought it was fucking hilarious.)
This has always been fairly consistent too, especially since they were designed to be foils. Chris is physically stronger, so he will fight in close range if he needs to, and he often does. Leon is not as physically strong, but he's more agile, so he keeps his enemies at more of a distance with a few exceptions (like when he gets locked into close-range such as the fight with Krauser and when he does stealth attacks). Leon does flips and kicks people into next week and while Chris can kick like a horse too, he can also just pick people up and throw them.

ok so me thinking about wesker's childhood and how Bad things were and also his relationships with the other wesker children ... and its big sad
see, he was snatched up by umbrella when he was 5- he already was developing a sense of self, and albert wilde was a good kid, ambitious and hard working, but not a monster. he was introduced to spencer's doctrine of "humans failed and all of the plagues of the earth also suck and it's your job to be better" and took it as a challenge for him to actually help people better themselves. he wanted to find ways to improve the quality of life for human beings, because no one ever said what was there had to be eliminated. humans were beautiful because they could adapt. albert wilde loved humanity.
albert wilde also had a ... rebellious streak. he was the golden boy who could get all of his work done early and still have the energy to try to be a normal kid- and he got in trouble for it. albert wilde never would've designed BOWs... and it took almost 12 years for umbrella to kill albert wilde, leaving albert wesker in his place
but damn, he held out for almost 12 years- tried to cling to what he knew in his heart to be the path he wanted. it just so happens that he was also experimented on, he survived things that other people mutated or died from, and by the time he was scouted as a researcher, he was so mentally exhausted from getting hurt for trying to be free, so he fell in line with things
and then fast forward and he takes the prototype virus and dies and comes back wrong and suffers some uhhh not good frontal lobe decay and his moral compass goes to heck... albert wesker was the sort of person albert wilde had wanted to stand up against and there's something sorta poetic about him finding his way back to being albert wilde after crawling from the depths of hell for real ... this is the character development i deserve to implement on him :)

“I admit, I do nicht know vhat is going on. Being avay long enough, jeou tend to… eh… fall out of zhe loop, ja? Eizher way… I am sorry, mein brozher has been giving jeou issues.”

❝ I haven't seen you in a long period . ❞ She began and she means him , not the other head - aching Richtofen . ❝ Is everything okay on your side ? If you don't mind me asking . ❞
“Er… it is… fine. I am mostly on mein own now, but zhat is how zhings go I suppose.” He shrugs before crossing his arms. “Und jeou? Outside mein other’s shenanigans… how are jeou?” He asks pointedly, as if to get off the subject of him no longer having the usual accompanying three.

It was cold, that was among the last things Luther recalled, along with fire, screaming, explosions, and a cold-hearted gaze. He'd been apart of something terrible. And when it all crashed and burned, he'd fled, taking himself as far as his paws would carry him. Not the largest example of a werewolf, but he still stood out in stature as a rather large looking wolf for anyone who still thought werewolves were just a hollywood tale.
He'd found shelter at least from the rain in an alley, an awning over a door with a dim light over it, kicking a paint can seemingly over when scrambling up the short steps to it. Shaking his fur of the soaked in water, Luther gruffed and sighed. He didn't even have a clue to what city he was in at the moment. At least for now. Then... shuffling, he could hear footsteps from the entrance of the alley. he curled up, hoping they didn't bother coming down. He'd just found this dry spot.
Wesker scanned the alley firstly, moving further in with each glance to and fro until his eyes settled on the lone light of the alley, a canine resting on the steps of a rear door under an awning. Nothing out of place really, just a stray he supposed, until he approached further and noted it's sheer size. It was absolutely no great dane but could easily dwarf it. What kind of dog was this? He wondered though stopped short knowing it could be feral.
Then his phone buzzed in his pocket, it was birkins again on a secured line. Answering he kept his voice low as he continued to observe the animal. "Wesker." Birkins on the other end sounded hurried and excited. "Where are you? You said you'd be here in thirty minutes and yet it's forty-five. The news I have is phenominal!" Wesker narrowed his gaze for a moment. "I'm less than three minutes from the precinct, I had to walk due to you're sudden urgency. Tell me, what is it even that has me out here this late?" Wesker inquired, Birkins chirping eagerly in reply. "One of Umbrella's competitors just went up in flames, quite literally. Seems their little projects broke out and now Umbrella has tasked my team to go sieze what we can and round up their escapees. I wanted your help with some of the rounding up as their facility was on the west side of town. Surely the precinct will be getting calls soon of odd things roaming the streets."
Wesker's hand slowly moved to his gun hearing this. "Birkins... Do you know yet what the test subjects included? Human or animal?" Birkins paused. "...I'm not quite sure yet. But its possible it could've been both?" He mused before connecting the dots. "You've already encountered one haven't you?"
"I'm staring at it."
