relationship with God shouldn’t be a routine. it’s not wake up pray worship bible and pray again.
it’s “good morning God, what should i make for breakfast?
“do you like this outfit or the other one?”
“did i treat that person good? should i do better next time?”
“have i offended you lately? if i did i’m sorry, teach me how to love you better”
“i read in this chapter in the bible but it didn’t make much sense would you explain it to me?”
relationship with God should be organic and pleasant and it changes and grows everyday.
There'll be a moment when you realise you're 27 when yesterday you were just 17; and you wouldn't be able to tell how a decade passed away and your life got divided into before and afters. The fury of youth will subdue and nothing will really change but everything will feel different when you look at old photographs and blurry videos taken on cheap mobile phones. Scents will remind you of childhood and certain friends you don't talk to anymore, hangouts will become reunions and mom's burnt pie will become the best food you ever had. And I know on some days you won't be able to show anything of those 10 years but I hope you remember to breathe, and let go of the knot in your chest. I hope you go out in the sun and live a little, because tomorrow is 37.
-Ritika Jyala, excerpt from The Flesh I Burned
— Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
“I am a different person to different people. Annoying to one. Talented to another. Quiet to a few. Unknown to a lot. But who am I, to me?”
— Unknown
O, will you fail to use so great a privilege? Fly to God, tell Him all your wants. Use Him constantly by faith at all times. If some dark providence has beclouded you, use your God as a "sun;" if some strong enemy has beset you, find in Jehovah a "shield," for He is a sun and shield to His people. If you have lost hour way in the mazes of life, use Him as a "guide," for He will direct You. Whatever you are, and wherever you are, remember God is just what you want, and just where you want, and that He can do all you want.
Charles Spurgeon
“Some cry with tears; others with thoughts.”
— Octavio Paz
Remember not to justify yourself too much: you don't owe full explanations to people, they won't be mad at you. And if they demand it, stick to your boundaries. A simple "no" should suffice when you don't want to do something.
just a reminder that there’s so much more that we still don’t know about ourselves and that’s what makes life so beautiful. next year you could find your next favorite musician or fall in love with someone you haven’t even met yet. you might see a new shade of green that will become your new favorite color or you could become obsessed with a new food that you thought you once hated. we change as life goes on. we grow as life changes. our experiences shape us into a new person. it’s beautiful.

Very few men are worthy of receiving the depth of a woman’s love. Remember that.
