Chapter Excerpt:

"We should hold a Christmas party," she said.

"A party?" Ben asked, incredulously. "After our last attempt?"

Rey smiled against him. "As I recall, there were several . . . unforgettable moments at that party."

"Ah." He hands trailed down to her waist, fingers playing with the ties of her dress. "Yes. There were. Ones I would gladly relive." His lips found her temple and then her cheek. Rey drew back to face him once more.

"Before I happily forget what I was speaking to you about—"

"Mhmm." Ben's lips trailed along her jaw.

"This party," Rey began, brow furrowing as she clung to her concentration even as Ben now hovered an almost-kiss above her lips. 

He grinned. "This party?"

"This party will just be people who matter to us," Rey said entirely too quickly before pressing a very quick and rather aggressive kiss on his lips. Ben burst out laughing.

"Did I make you that frustrated?" He asked, tilting his head.

"You always make me frustrated," Rey grumbled. Ben had the grace to look apologetic. He brushed the hair from her face, knuckles trailing across her cheekbone.
