About that hug

Dean is clearly going for a hug. Look at his arms open up before Cas rushes straight into them. (gif credit to @subcas)

)Dean’s expression is interesting too. He rolls his eyes for a second, amused by Cas’s intensity, before he smiles so contentedly his whole face just lights up. Look at how happy he is.

Also loved this seemingly random shot of Mary’s ‘huh’ expression. But what better way to show her that Cas is family.   

But what I loved most about this angle was Cas gritting out ‘Dean’ like his whole life depended on it. Tell me again that Cas doesn’t care about Dean. Just try it. 

Cas’s voice breaking at the “But what about the bomb and the darkness” line was so heartbreaking. Look at how different he is from what he used to be, how much he cares, how intensely in love with Dean he is.
