Spotted on the ferry is INGRID WELLS, they were mistaken for SOPHIE OKONEDO. INGRID is 54 years old, they identify as CIS WOMAN (SHE/HER). They are currently spending their time as GENERAL DOCTOR in Maple Creek and are residing in MAPLE FOREST. They’re setting off to Maple Creek to JOIN A SMALLER MEDICAL PRACTISE. On the island, people say they are PROTECTIVE but ALOOF.
A middle child of three, one older and one younger brother. She was always competitive with them joining in with exactly what they would do.
Her parents were always very supportive of all their children.
When Ingrid came out as a lesbian in her teens that didn't change and she's always been able to feel authentic and safe.
Medical school had always been the plan so after completing a pre-med degree she went right into it.
She loves being able to help people and from early on in her practise she knew tat she wanted to be able to help as many people as possible no matter what their ailment was.
Whilst her bedside manner can sometimes be a bit abrupt she is a good friend and a good doctor.
Over the years though she has felt that New York isn't where she wanted to be. It was her home but she didn't always feel comfortable there. Liking to help people she often struggled with referring a patient somewhere and then not seeing them again.
On her 50th birthday she decided to take the plunge and moved to Maple Creek.
It was a huge change and has certainly needed some adjustments but having been there for four years now she likes to think she has found her feet.
"There's a free seat here if you wish, I'm just on my own so as long as you don't mind company you're more than welcome to join." Ingrid knew how frustrating it was to need a seat and find none so she thought nothing of gesturing to the seat in front of her even if she was unsure that the person nearby would need it. "Always so busy in here isn't it?"
Pat folded his arms, it wasn't quite cold yet but the weather was just starting to turn. He was just glad that preschool was back in. He finally had a moment to himself. He stumbled, nearly slipping through a shop window and landing flat on his back. “Oh shit…” He groaned, his hand lifting to his knee.
It was like the fall happened in slow motion; Ingrid could see it happening but couldn't move fast enough to help. She was by Pat's side just as he started to get up. "Careful, take a sec you don't want to fall right back down. Does it hurt anywhere?"
