Youroth (alien): So explain to me again why you will be unavailable this weekend?

Alex (human): I'm going camping with some friends.

Youroth: Explain "camping"

Alex: We go into the woods, sleep in tents, eat s'mores, hang out by the fire-

Youroth: Is your home ok?

Alex: Huh? Yeah why wouldn't it be?

Youroth: So your going to live in the woods by choice?

Alex: Yeah it's fun. And it's only for a day our so.

Youroth: But... Why?

Alex: because it's a fun bonding experience. Families do it, friends do it, they even have summer camps for it.

Youroth: Summer camps are for the youth yes?

Youroth: You drag your young out the live in the woods?!

One of my IRL transfem friends' parents just saw her with "gynecomastia" and they're taking her to a urologist and she's thinking they might force-masc her. If ANYONE has a solution for this, PLEASE tell me, because I don't want to see her forced into something she isn't. DETAILS: She hasn't told her parents she's transitioning, they only know of this one thing. She's too far away to seek shelter with me or other friends, and likely doesn't have a safe place in her home state. Humans and blushing.

(The two are preparing for an important social event.)

Alien Youroth (standing outside Alex's room wool decorated with gems) : Alex are you finished dressing? If you do not hurry we will be late.

Human Alex (from her room) : Yes yes just one second and I'll be out!

(Alex steps out of her room dressed in a deep blue pantsuit flecked with white. Their short black hair neatly framing their face. They had black lipstick on and emerald eyeshadow. The gems around their eyes matched the Jewel's in Youroth's wool.)

Youroth (Tail fanning out in appreciation): You look wonderful.

Alex (Blushing lightly) : and you look pretty err handsome err good ugh.

(Alex covers their face in embarrassment blushing profusely)

Youroth (eyes narrowing in concern) : Your color has changed are you ok.

Alex: I'm fine I'm fine.

Youroth: But you are red?

Alex: I'm just blushing its normal.

Youroth: what is blushing?

Alex: In moments of strong emotion blood will rush to humans faces and our faces will turn red.

Youroth: Emotions such as?

Alex (blushing harder) : Nothing

(Alex rushes out of the room leaving Youroth to follow them)

Humans will gather around when someone play's music even if they don't know the song/person.

Human Alex (Showing an alien around a city) :

That over there is a restaurant where people gather to eat, over here is a clothing store, and-

Alien Youroth (seeing a street performer) : why are they gathering?

Alex: Oh just a street performer.

Youroth: But why do they gather around the performer? Is it a celebration?

Alex: No they just want to hear the music.

Youroth: But do they not have responsibilities to attend to?

Alex: Probably not it's a Saturday so most people are on their day off.

(Alex goes to move on before noticing that Youroth is still starring)

Alex: Would you like to go closer?

(Youroth nods fel head)

(In front of the performer there are a few couples dancing to the upbeat folk music)

(Alex grabs Youroth's hand and pulls fet into a dance)

(They end up spending half the tour dancing and are late for an important meeting)

Youroth (as they run to the meeting) : This human custom is not so bad.
