I was lucky enough to visit Reynisfjara in 2024. Way back when I was a cringy little tumblr kid, I saw a photography by @ gunnargunnar (IG handle) of the volcanic sands that completely spellbound me. Ever since then I yearned to see it for myself.

Visiting the beach was genuinely a dream come true. I'll cherish the memory and photographs I took that day and be reminded of the impermanence of our little planet.

I hope the sands will return one day. Until then I'll feel forever grateful for witnessing it when I did.
