The chain of the necklace contains 28 gold ball-shaped ornaments, with 10 pearls on each ball. The balls are connected by strands of gold.  The two ends are connected by a gold button with a dark blue pearl with a deer design. Next two it are two rectangular gold ornaments each embedded with a lapis gem.  In the middle  is a round gold ornament embedded with 1 bloodstone and 24 pearls. On the sides of it are two rectangular gold pieces. At the very center is a heart-shaped lapis gem.  The necklace has heavy Persian influences.

So…the upcoming Chinese New Year Barbie is in a hanfu? 👀

I have no idea if this is their first time doing this, but it does seem rare! Most Google searches of previous dolls show her in a qipao so I think it’s pretty cool that they tried putting her in a hanfu for 2022. :oooo

First built around 1,600 years ago, the Mati Temple Grottoes (马蹄寺石窟) are a group of Buddhist cave temples located in Lingsong Mountain in northwest China’s Gansu Province.
