TBH I love how you can see the force in each beat through the pericardium.
Video description: LLL basilar segmentectomy for a patient with intralobar sequestration. A vessel arising from aorta is divided with a stapler intially and a basilar segmentectomy is performed afterwards..Patient was dicharged on postoperative day 3 without complications.

Holy hell, they go through so much to get this heart beating.
Internal defibrillator, direct electricity, massaging, two surgeons taking turns to massage this heart and meanwhile they’re poking at it.
The surgery is a success though! and the last half of the video is actually the beginning but thought it was nice to show off the endless grabbing, shocking, and prodding of the organ first thing.

A heart pumping in an open chest
This film presents the case of a 20-year-old woman with myasthenia gravis in whom a robot-assisted left video-thoracoscopic thymectomy was performed. A pericardial view of the beating heart can be seen during the surgery.
Heart beating in the pericardium during left pneumonectomy. The interventricular arteries are very visible. Aorta and vena cava are exposed. Imagine this beating in you or someone you fancy. :3

Another beating heart not fully hidden by its pericardium. Seen during a lung surgery.

Unique view, successful procedure
A heart pumping in an open chest
A 42 year old Russian woman’s heart beating during lung surgery. I have to admire the way you can see the surface of the heart and its tensed arteries bulging against the pericardium at each contraction. Want to capture that in art some day.
