TBH I love how you can see the force in each beat through the pericardium.

Holy hell, they go through so much to get this heart beating. 

Internal defibrillator, direct electricity, massaging, two surgeons taking turns to massage this heart and meanwhile they’re poking at it.

The surgery is a success though! and the last half of the video is actually the beginning but thought it was nice to show off the endless grabbing, shocking, and prodding of the organ first thing.

A 42 year old Russian woman’s heart beating during lung surgery. I have to admire the way you can see the surface of the heart and its tensed arteries bulging against the pericardium at each contraction. Want to capture that in art some day.
