Long winded anon here with an observation. I think itās important that those of us in fandom spaces try and maintain our collective humanity, and circle back to the fact that the words we say, type, and publish have impact, on each other and on the human beings at the center of the discourse. There is ONE thing that rings true in fandom spaces, and itās that we do not know these people, or anything about whatās happening in their minds, hearts, and personal lives.
If we were to ever meet any of them in person I would hope that weād be kind to them, so why not extend that courtesy to the online spaces, too. We can also be critical of what we see, and be observant, and discuss what we see and think, but the moment everyone loses their collective humanity and starts treating these strangers like fictional characters who exist solely for our entertainment, and/or something to spew hatred at, it simply becomes wrong and cruel.
So many people seem to forget that ultimately, whether c and h ever date or end up together romantically is quite literally none of our business. Nor should we act like weāre entitled to any part of their business and private lives. The same is true for the people who DO know them closely. We donāt know them, or their relationship with these two men, and weāre not supposed to. Weāre lucky that C and H have shared what they shared thus far at all. So when people begin to feel entitled to them, or feel like they are owed access to them, itās dangerous.
I think the internet has convinced many humans that sharing their anger online can sway outcomes, redirect these peopleās lives, and inform another persons decision making. Thatās not how it works. Thatās not done out of love of a person or celebrity; thatās manipulation, and itās harmful. Itās cooler to be kind, especially when these two men have been nothing but kind since the unimaginable has happened to them and uprooted their entire lives from beneath their feet.
Letās not ignore the fact that in their position, at their ages, many of us would crumble. So if youāre at the point where things these men do donāt do, or wear or donāt wear, or say or donāt say ANGERS you, or upsets you to the point Iāve seen some people reach, take that moment to think about whether the words you choose to publish to the world would be words youād say to their faces, or want said to your own. Would you want someone to say them about your close friend, son or daughter, or a sister, a brother, a partner? Perhaps Iām delusional but I subscribe to the notion that we all should try and uphold one another to higher standards of kindness, optimism, acceptance and love. Thatās why these two men chose this project and worked so hard on it, and inspired so many people. They arenāt facilitating this type of behavior, so do they no deserve better?
We have to keep our side of the street clean and BE BETTER, period.

I donāt really have much to add to this.
At the end of the day, we are shipping and itās not meant to bring in anger, cruelty, unkindness, or mean girl energy.
We arenāt in high school anymore, we should all be able to talk to each other and discuss like adults. We should also look at these ppl with the kindness they have thrown out to the world and try to emulate that back to them and to each other.
We all got into this show and fandom because of queer joy and love. I hope to heaven we arenāt about to implode due to it too.
