It’s as simple as that on the surface. But his relationship with Emma was dysfunctional and one of a kind.                Perhaps it's simply extreme codependency - Emma had never given much thought to their relationship, to Emma the whole thing could be summed up by a simple, he loves her and she loves him, the angel doesn't know how to love any other way. She's never seen love that wasn't brandished by a whip, or laced with bruises. It's that love or this kind of love and honestly it's fucked up her thoughts on She might have to resign to the fact that no one could love her in the "normal way", if she knew any other kind of relationship existed than this. As far as she knows the only kind of love there is between siblings is this and the kind that leaves you with watery lungs and  whip scars.             Good, she'd have no doubt of her safety so long as she's by Jace's side, he's saved her once, he'll do it again. She trusts him, she has faith in him. If he called her any of those things right in front of her the angel would surely blush and deny it, modesty is something that Emma is very well acquainted with, as well as self loathing. Beautiful? No, she's not beautiful.               She's always been to afraid to go alone - scared of the reactions she'd get, angels don't have the greatest reputations thanks to Raziel and the wrath of heaven being unleashed on all who summon her siblings.
