This is it: this is your sign. You’re brand new, refreshed, empowered to change. Your calmer, softer times are coming. Your confidence, your happiness, your bliss, is arriving. Self acceptance is easier, and taking care of yourself is no longer a chore, but something you look forward to. You start to feel replenished - you’re *you* again - and the next chapter of your happier life begins now.
Gregory Crewdson (American, b. 1962, Park Slope neighborhood, Brooklyn, NY, USA) - Twilight (Beer Dream), 1998 Photography
Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.
Bob Marley (via wordsnquotes)
Motive is important… It’s not enough to know what someone did. The why they did what they did is critical in understanding other people and their personalities. It’s what makes us unique. It’s the difference between a teacher and instructor, a student and an active learner, a soldier and a murderer.
C. R. Kristofferson, Love and Us (via wordsnquotes)
Don’t cry over someone who left you in the middle of everything. He’s not worth your tears. Learn to stand up while you’re still feeling the pain. It will hurt you badly but, in the long run, you will understand that some valuable lessons in life will come from hardships. And this is one of them. Believe in yourself. You can surpass this storm of yours. Don’t cry over someone who doesn’t appreciate your efforts and existence. Remember, you are precious and if people make you feel you’re not worth their time and affection, let them go. Never be afraid to turn your back to people who doesn’t value you. They don’t deserve a place in your life. Don’t cry over someone who wouldn’t fight for you until the end. Prioritize yourself. You deserve someone better.
E.J. Cenita (via wordsnquotes)
Love, being in love, isn’t a constant thing. It doesn’t always flow at the same strength. It’s not always like a river in flood. It’s more like the sea. It has tides, it ebbs and flows. The thing is, when love is real, whether it’s ebbing or flowing, it’s always there, it never goes away. And that’s the only proof you can have that it is real, and not just a crush or an infatuation or a passing fancy.

You're not letting life down, if you're doing your best You're not without purpose, if you have dreams You're not human, without imperfections You're not without work, if you're working at it You're not alive, without feelings You're not lost, if you let love find you You're not alone, if we are together You're not homeless, if you come home You're not without, if you value within.
Most important and most vulnerable of human emotions: Love.

I was supposed to be born in a different era. The time when romance was floating in the air, when it consumed you and left breathless. Not in this cruel world. Now romance is dead, everyone seeks a temporary lover, afraid to let anyone truly in. This is a world of broken hearts and unrequited loves.
Demetria P. (via wordsnquotes)
