“...I’m not worried about getting hurt.”
“Playing around in places where you don’t belong could do you hurt. Or worse.”
“Why don’t you worry about yourself, and I’ll worry about me?”

Stuart: It's not a matter of getting rid of you, it's the fact that this - you contacting me - is dangerous. For both of us.
Akilah: No one is going to find out.
“If you’re here to rag on me for something, I’m off duty. So if you’ve got a problem, leave a note in the suggestion box.”
“No, I...just heard you were having a rough couple of days.” Or maybe she was just being nosy.

“Oh, wow, thanks…” Kira turned, eyes widening at what lay in the stranger’s hand. It was piece of her mother’s old fox tails that she had turned into a pendant. “This has, uh, a lot of sentimental value.” She reached out and took the dulled shard and slipping it into her pocket, hoping the girl hadn’t noticed what it was. “I’m Kira,” she offered with a tentative smile.
Though she had known of the McCall pack before she’d realized that Stuart was still alive, she’d done more research recently on the pack of supernatural misfits, already knowing fully well that this was Kira that she was talking to. Intrigued eyes fell on the collar around her neck before she was replying. “I’m glad I caught up to you then,” Akilah said honestly, handing the pendant back to the kitsune. “I’m Akilah.”

► TAGGING __ // STUART TWOMBLY, AKILAH PATEL ► LOCATION __// SOMEWHERE TOPSIDE ► TIME_FRAME__// EVENING, RECENTLY ► OOC_NOTES__// The chatzy got longer than we initially expected it to, and it still has a bit to go. But, we wanted to keep the dash fairly up-to-date, so I’m posting what we have as a time frame reference - so it can be established that this event has happened, even if we’re finishing it still. ► INPUT_SUMMARY…?__// [ CHATZY LOG ] Stuart is Topside for a supply drop when he runs into a hauntingly familiar face – one that he left behind in his hometown with the knowledge that he had died in the fire.

Kara almost took a cautious step away from the female before she saw that the girl was offering her back her earring that had fallen off. “Oh, thank you! I’m sorry, it must’ve gotten loose.”
“It’s no trouble. I saw it fall and figured that you would want it back,” Akilah said, not having missed the hesitance from the girl as she handed back the fallen earring. Everyone was so suspicious of everyone else these days, though she supposed that was with good reason.

Stuart: ... how did you find my number?
Stuart: Never mind, I don't need to know.
And you don't need to be texting me.
Akilah: I hacked you once. Do you really think it was that hard for me to find your number?
Akilah: You're not getting rid of me that easily.

Aleksander turned, surprised by the familiarity of the voice. “Aki? How long have you been here?” He knew she had been working for the government, but he didn’t know she’d been placed in Beacon Hills, too.
“Uh...awhile. Like, not long after high school awhile,” Akilah replied somewhat sheepishly. She had been living in the supernatural hub even before the laws were announced. She’d been unsure at first of why the government had placed her in such a remote area, but as soon as the laws had been enacted, everything had clicked into place.

Akilah: You're not still worried I'm gonna turn you in...right?
“Hey, I think you dropped this,” Akilah called after the retreating figure.
