Watching some Crashbox this afternoon and man I'll never get over how much effort went into it. It's such a cool show.

Animal is very passionate about all kinds of human rights but trans rights are especially rock ‘n’ roll!
It's kinda crazy that this sideblog gets engagement still lmao sorry for being dead, I just have been really into muppets and puppetry and that kind of majorly took over my life lmao I'm still wayyy into crashbox, letter people, a little curious, all that fun stuff I just haven't interacted with it much. Maybe I'll do some crashbox drawings soon.
They’re quite badass
Oops
Sorry for not updating in a long time. I am currently knuckle deep in a Letter People hyperfixation that's been going on for MONTHS at this point. I'll end up babbling about it in my next few posts probably, but I just wanted to post a quick update today to prove I'm not dead :D
Whew! I feel like that took forever to get done! But I'm glad my individual posts on all the segments for crashbox are done. Eventually I'm going to start basically transcribing the episodes here so if someone wants to go put them as subtitles on the youtube videos they can. I'm going to be switching back and forth between crashbox and letter people though so it'll look like this:
>>Crashbox script/transcription
>>Letter Person Introduction
>>Letter People script/transcription
Maybe that sounds boring idk but I'd rather have the ability to read along with the episodes given my audio processing in my brain is rough.
Crashbox Segment: Wordshake
In this game an AI with a thick french accent played by a live actor takes two words and smashed them together to make a new word! This one is a little harder to describe. The example below shows No + Sea = Nosey all the puzzles in this segment are like that.
The WordChef is played by John Watkin!
My Thoughts: This one makes me laugh because I'm really good at them and my nesting partner is really bad at them :P
Crashbox Segment: Think Tank!
In this one a funky Jamaican man named Captain Bob is stuck in a submarine in a fish tank! He shows you three objects and you have to guess what the objects have in common before the drain sucks out all of the water.
Captain Bob is voiced by Greg Eagles!
My Thoughts: This one has some of the best backing music and it's definitely up there as one of my favorite games.
Crashbox Segment: Ten 2nds
In this segment a supercomputer gives us a series of rebus puzzles! This one is pretty self explanatory.
The computer is voiced by Alan Schlaifer!
My Thoughts: These are some of my favorite kinds of puzzles, I used to get whole books of them, so I'm glad this show has some of them. I also love the funky clownish voice the computer has! Good soup!
Crashbox Segment: Sketch Pad
A Jazzy beatnik sketches out events in his story and it's the viewers job to try to put the pieces together so the story makes sense.
Sketch is voiced by Greg Eagles!
My Thoughts: I adore the music in this segment so much it's so bouncy and fun!
Crashbox Segment: Riddlesnake
Usually played as the final game for the episode, Riddlesnake is as it sounds, a Snake that gives you riddles. An unseen voice reads the riddles outloud while the snake plays a pungi. At the end a man plays a kazoo which clears the air and reveals the answer.
The unseen voice is voiced by Veena Bidasha!
My Thoughts: These riddles are actually pretty hard so it's a fun challenge.
Crashbox Segment: Revolting Slob
An unnamed female voice teaches us vocabulary while using this disgusting puppet man as an example before making his explode in various ways. In season one this takes place in the living room and in season two it takes place in the kitchen. His personality also get uplifted in season two.
The narrator is voiced by Edie McClurg and the Slob is voiced by Mike McShane.
My Thoughts: Personally, this one is my least favorite. I think we all have childhood trauma because of this guy.
Crashbox Segment: Radio Scramble
A microphone object head DJ named Jumpin Johnny Jumble scrambles up words and you have to unscramble them to make the song/news/weather make sense. He does his how little voices and act outs too.
Jumpin Johnny Jumble is voiced by Peter Lurie!
My Thoughts: This is arguably the best one. I mean look at the rizz on this guy. Another one I want to cosplay with all my heart.
Crashbox Segment: Psycho Math
An unhinged robot named Professor Rocket gives you math problems to solve in the form of pictures or groups of things.
Professor Rocket is voiced by Joseph Motiki (Seasons 1-2A) and Arif S Kinchen (Season 2B)
My Thoughts: This is one of my favorite ones. I love how absolutely bonkers Professor Rocket is. I want to cosplay him so bad.
Crashbox Segment: Poop of Scoop
In Poop or Scoop and mostly unseen carnival barker presents us with a series of animal facts that we must guess if they're true or false. This one is pretty simple.
The Carnival Barker is voiced by Danny Wells
My Thoughts: I enjoy this one. Even thought these are extremely common animal facts I feel rewarded when I get them right and that's nice :D
Crashbox Segment: Paige and Sage
Paige and Sage is a spot the difference game featuring two identical sisters. A Valley Girl narrator presents the answers after 60 seconds have passed, as well as picks on the girls as if they're friends.
The Valley Girl Narrator is voiced by Dawn Maxey.
My Thoughts: I enjoy spot the differences, they're actually kind of challenging haha
