He'll shut his laptop and then rant about what he's writing. Usually your que to put your phone down, or just listen. Just talking helps him regulate his thoughts a bit more.

Will sometimes shut his laptop and hold your hands across the booth (Pop's.) and just grin and stare at you for a minute. Just lets go oh your hands and goes back to writing.

Generally super loving, but because he is super passionate about what he believes in, he is stubborn and hard headed, even when he is in the wrong. Fights aren't frequent but they happen. Usually comes to his senses after by himself and thinking about it, realizing facts and feelings are equal and not facts over feelings. He says some hurtful stuff in the heat of the moment, but realizes it quick.
Takes some time to realize his perspective isn't the only one. Gradually gets better as admitting he's wrong, coping w negative emotions.
