Spoilers for the latest cookie run update for those who care.

Okay so like... Did they retcon White Lily's goal of making the perfect cookie??

Like maybe I'm just misremembering, it has been literal years since some of this was released and I'm too lazy to rewatch it, but didn't the whole academy incident happen because White Lily tried to get a piece of the headmasters soulstone(?) to aid her in her attempts to make the perfect cookie. But it backfired and—i swear—only killed her teachers.

Now it's that she tried to revive him to talk to him, and ended up killing the entire school. Now of course I do admit I skimmed through it, I could have missed something or even misunderstood something.

But like if they've genuinely retconned one of White Lily's motivations I might actually geek out.

In line with my previous reblog, I really don't like how the current story is going.

Which is funny considering I'm still playing kingdom, I'm simply just not paying attention to the story at all.

I don't like what they're doing with White Lily, never cared about shadow milk, the only beast I really care about is Burning Spice, they straight slimed Dark Enchantress.

But I'm somehow still having fun despite all of it. Also because I can just focus on my silly little blorbos and talk about them with friends.

I won't deny Pearl was an obvious favorite of Devsis for a while, It's just a fact she had a good sum of attention from them.

But what I WILL defend and argue, is that her favoritism did not come at the detriment of the main plot.

Sometimes completely HIJACKING the development or depth from other characters, see literally all of the other beast cookies...

I wouldn't be bothered, if they were given as much attention as smilk is STILL getting. Spice is only NOW getting more attention.

Pearl didn't get TWO plushies.

Pearl didn't get 3 special cards with different outfits/designs.

She didn't even get a mention in the MAIN plot when all the other legendaries showed up.

She got 2 her-focused updates, 3 costumes [same as shadow milk if you don't include the special events like championship and the cards], and a few scattered references here and there that were wholly inconsequential.

I don't know if she's even in other spin offs!

I feel like simply calling JK Rowling a transphobe isn't strong enough anymore. Like. This is not your grandpa calling you by your deadname at a restaurant kind of transphobic. This is her wanting to eradicate all trans people (with an extra special hatred towards trans women specifically). This is her trying just that by personally funding transphobic hate groups with millions to push around laws in the UK. It is not hyperbolic to call her a dangerous, genocidal maniac.

It's not about cancelling a problematic writer. It's about literally trying to save lives by denying her as much money and power as possible.
