I'm fine with anyone using my art as their profile pictures/banners so long as there is credit! I'm a bit iffy on Pinterest and general reposts, I strongly advise that credit is given back to my account.

can you go into detail about Blighters please pretty please 🥺

Blighters are, simply put, the odd botanists of Elysium! There's nothing entirely unique about them as a people; they look like ordinary everyday people that...as I'd describe it, they just have an Ozzian fashion sense. They're only called "Blighters" on Elysium because of their near skittish tendencies and will generously spray (if startled) a unique concoction directly onto your every orifice that sits on your face, "Fear Gas", a hallucinogen made to bet that you'll get so scared you die of heart failure

Their job is to pursue, study, and name every bizarre plant that has grown in Elysium's southern region. For further context, Elysium people had long begged for some kind of agriculture on the island, and, desperate for soil, an absurd mix was made from the metal scraps of the land they sat on, black sands that were on the beaches, various kinds of manure, and whatever else was needed to make "false" soil which... led to unexpectedly brand new plants that were never seen anywhere else in the world. By which, it's the job of the blighters to domesticate, research, test edibility, test for side effects, and greedily say "IT'S MINE! I DISCOVERED IT I SHOULD NAME IT" at the top of their lungs throughout the island.

On a scale of 1 to Total decimation, how jealous/protective is Claire when anybody tries to flirt with Charlie and vice versa?

Short answer? Jealousy-wise? Charles is about 6/10, while Claire is a 5/10 Oh, to love an entertainer, it’s a tricky road to trail. In many ways, Charles understands that it is her job to please the desperate, muling public that kisses at her hands, begging for just a sliver of her attention. He understands, perfectly well, repeating that in his mind that at the end of the day…he came to a burlesque, a cabaret filled top down with dogs not unlike himself, leering and drooling at the sparkle on her dress, making eye and throwing out incipient commentary as if a peacock just entered this establishment to harass the very tired hens. He understands…FULLY. CRYSTAL. EVIDENTLY. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. APPARENTLY. CLEAR. That, with a quick klink taking him out of his mind, he gazes at his clenched fist to see glass in his fingers and blood fusing with the champagne. That she could choose whomever she pleased, and regardless of his feelings, he’s at the back of the line. While he’s not proud of it, and in fact very ashamed that he feels so strongly about Corielle, he is not immune to his blinding jealousy. It usually comes into fruition when he’s especially brooding or eyeing down a Ruby Beauty fan with a stare that can cut glass…luckily for them, it’s a form of restraint. An act of desperate discipline, for him to refrain from acting completely like an animal for no…reason. Well, there is one… not a very good one, though. Corielle, however? She doesn’t have the privilege to reassure herself that it is Charlie’s “paid duty to please the public” who just so happen to have the same peculiar tastes she does. The man is dense…and yet intensely loyal, he wouldn’t be able to clue in on flirting when his esteem is so far down into the pits of very hell itself. She could chortle, find mild amusement in seeing attempts to woo fail spectacularly, like a car crash happening right in front of her very eyes. Though…oh, bless his heart… he may be above petty squabble over a woman (god forbid) that he is not even certain is worth pursuing… she, on the other hand, is not above making her intention clear.

Maybe a trip, and an oops, to soften the blow. Maybe tell a fib, and their day would just so happen to get a little worse. …A little prick? Questionable, it wouldn’t be clever now, would it? That’ll leave behind prints, tempting, but it’s not worth it. She would nip at the heel to get a point across.

…Protection is a different matter; the two, for once, will meet eye to eye. What a horrid, horrid protection that would be...born from boiling blood. It’s murder!
