i’m literally going out of my mind thinking about ava/beatrice in 1.08

OKAY so like yes we have the iconic scene once ava makes it through the 20 feet of wall BUT what i feel like we forget is also the earlier scene when ava panics and throws herself out of the wall!!!! 

okay first of all beatrice fucking scrambles over to check on her (even though ava has the halo so she’s almost indestructible) like she drops to her knees immediately to check on her like okay…..

BUT THEN…. THE WAY BEATRICE AUTOMATICALLY CRADLES AVA’S FACE SO GENTLY TO LOOK AT HER? AND THE WAY AVA LOOKS UP AT HER LIKE SHE IS LITERALLY THE SUN?????????? like what the he’ll kind of gay shit…. 

and then they literally just sit there gazing at each other like literally just looking at beatrice is what calms ava down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and beatrice removes her hands but literally just puts them back on ava’s back and shoulder like she needs to be touching her to make sure she’s okay!!!!!

And tHEN…. beatrice is literally like tenderly stroking her hair while ava says thank you and then just freezes there, looking at beatrice with so much fucking admiration or something?????????

AND THEY JUST KEEP GAZING AT EACH OTHER??????????????????

and then okay so you’re like but then beatrice gets flustered and pulls away right (with her hand lingering there like she doesn’t even want to remove it)? and the way ava looks so CRUSHED BY THAT???????????? like what is THAT supposed to mean!!!!! and why is beatrice so flustered over it!!!!!!!!

and then this is like five seconds later, you see beatrice ATTEMPTS TO PUT HER HAND BACK ON AVAS BACK TO COMFORT HER but pulls away like she isn’t sure if she’s allowed to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like look at her expression im….. THE HESITATION…………

AND THEN when ava is visibly distressed and camila removes her hand, beatrice IMMEDIATELY PUTS HER HAND BACK TO COMFORT AVA…………. LIKE the woman who literally hates who she is and probably avoids touching people unless necessary (it’s not like she’s been tactile with any of the sisters) literally automatically reaching for ava to comfort her because she doesn’t want to see her in distress….. whew.. … 

LIKE…… THE GENTLE HANDS…. THE TENDERNESS OF IT ALL….. THE WAY THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER………. AHHHHHHHHHH

If we don't get an avatrice training scene in season 2 where Ava is completly flustered and can't concentrate and then Beatrice pins her down and they stare at each other intensily and their sexual tension is so soaring it makes all the other nuns flee the dojo, what's even the point?

Movie night ft. a very eager halo bearer

I've been thinking about this a lot so here me out okay. (if I get past this writer's block then I may attempt to write this, we'll see)

Sister halo squad (side note: there needs to be a squad nickname pls) on the run together, hiding out in places and trying to get off the grid. Training and planning together for sure but Ava having not really experienced life outside of the orphanage is still discovering new things, getting excited over things...so: Movie nights!!!

They go out to the shops to get supplies and Camila is just as excited as Ava is, the two of them practically bouncing down the aisles as they get all of the treats that Ava has heard of but never gotten and they're probably going over budget but they cannot be stopped. And Ava turning around to Beatrice and asking her what was something she was never allowed as a child and then proceeding to load the cart with every type of soda and throwing in some flaming hot cheetos for Lilith

Pyjamas are a must and though Mary tries to kick Ava out of the van she reluctantly agrees (but not to the bugs bunny onesie Ava tried to get for her). Beatrice agrees to the fluffy pyjamas Ava picks out, but only so she can get Ava the most ridiculous duck slippers that are much too large. Lilith being super moody because Camila and Ava ganged up on her and she's forced to wear a pair of grumpy cat pyjamas (to the absolute amusement of Mary who takes a lot of pictures)

Ava can't decide where she wants to sit and she fidgets constantly, they eventually decide she gets to sit in the middle of the couch with Beatrice and Mary on either end. Lilith sits in the armchair and Camila is happily nestled amongst cushions and blankets on the floor by her legs.

Ava has a constant commentary, she is very vocal on her thoughts throughout and Beatrice is far too fascinated with watching Ava's reactions then actually paying attention to the movie. Lilith and Mary are throwing popcorn at Ava and whacking her with pillows to get her to shut up.

Camila gets to decide on the first movie because Ava keeps asking questions and wants to watch the entirety of Lord of The Rings in one sitting, Mary said "fuck no" and Lilith proceeded to scold her. Beatrice tries to play peacemaker but gets distracted by Ava - who keeps quoting lines from the film and eventually Camila gets tired of their fighting and ends up putting Tangled on.

Mary ends up sitting on the floor so that Ava can stop fidgeting and just sprawl out on the couch with her legs draped across Beatrice's lap, letting Beatrice trace soft patterns over Ava's knee. Honestly Beatrice doesn't mind the closeness or the way Ava chatters throughout the film and sings quietly (and then very loudly to annoy Lilith). Beatrice and Ava holding hands under their blanket when Mary insists on watching a scary movie afterwards.

So many selfies that Lilith is forced to take because "you have the longest arms Lily" "don't fucking call me that" "*gasp* language" and Ava putting a group one as her phone background

The pillow fights starts when Ava keeps making puns and saying how funny it would be if they were allowed to swear in Disney movies, so Lilith threatens to kill her and it becomes a competition with Ava and Lilith running around the room and the others being instantly being dragged into their battle. Beatrice is of course on Ava's team and has a very good aim, hitting Camila in the chest and dodging Lilith's attack. Ava dramatically leaping infront of Beatrice and quoting Titanic as she falls into the army of pillows and blankets on the floor (Mary may have shoved her when she started getting too soppy)

Fighting over who goers to sleep on the couch and who has to be in sleeping bags. Beatrice and Ava happily sharing a sleeping bag and blushing (more on Beatrice's part) when the others tease them for it. Camila stopping Lilith and Mary arm wrestling for the couch spot by pretending to fall asleep there.

All of them just enjoying the closeness and despite the bickering and playful (and kinda lethal) pillow fights they get that moment to just be there, no fighting demons or being scared they can just have fun and not have to worry about rules, even if it's just for one night

Ok, but Beatrice and Ava pining after each other endlessly and each thinking they don’t deserve the other until finally Camila can’t stand it anymore and gives Bea a fervent scolding/pep talk insisting that she needs to go after what she wants because their friendships are strong enough to endure any romantic fallout. When a determined Bea leaves to find Ava, Lilith asks Camila if she really believes their friendships are strong enough. “Yes, of course I do. Why, don’t you?” Instead of answering, Lilith kisses her.

Shit I really don't have anything to add to this, I love it so much 🥺
