Updated Aramys’ look to make it more accurate for the DB 🔪

So fun fact, I had to restart the whole game to fix his look. I had to make Aramys from scratch… but I’m pretty proud of myself since he looks fairly accurate 🙏🏻

Also. I LOVE this new look. The short hair does him wonders IMHO (I head-cannon that Lucien made him cut his hair, makes him look more ‘professional’), and I made him a bit more pale along with a more depressed look lol. He’s definitely going through some shit but atleast he looks good doing it!

Inescapable Corruption

HI GUYS, so after a lot of thinking and reading your comments (thank you SO much for all the replies on the last post!!!), I think I have a solid plan for how Aramys is going to join the DB. It's a little off base to what I was leaning towards, but it might be the best way for him to get introduced to such an idea as murder.

To start, I want to lay out a quick timeline for his lore up to this point. It's mostly going to be background info:

Aramys joins the Blades, helps Martin and Jauffre, blah blah blah >

While working on getting the Amulet of Kings, he joins the arena for some extra money and something to do in his spare time. He begins to take it fairly seriously, and ultimately becomes Grand Champion a long while after first competing (The arena left a very crucial mark in his fighting techniques, as well as what he was used to seeing gore/violence-wise). >

Aramys destroys Paradise, defeats Merhunes Dagon with Martin, etc. (Important to have watched Martin die and see the effect that the attack had on innocents).

He joins the Fighter's Guild casually, gets up to about a Swordsman in rank. (Yet again, important to note how much death he's seen. A very unhealthy way to cope with everything he's seen and done).

Now, after everything he was subjected to, it's obvious that he would be a little paranoid, to say the least. And by a little, I mean he sleeps with a weapon inches from his bed, wherever he is, to fall asleep. Checking behind him every few steps to make sure he isn't being followed or hunted down. Having nightmares about the lives he took, whether they attacked him first or not.

What once was a hero who held so much promise and left all those who met him with a feeling of hope, was now a shadow of the young man he once was. And now, finally, we come to his last act.

(This part is basically just fanfic but trust the process mweheheheh)

5. Checking on a strange portal outside of Bravil, Aramys finds himself at the throws of madness incarnate. A dark elf coming from said entrance and becoming hostile led to Aramys suddenly attacking out of fear, thus killing not only the madman but the poor Khajjit bystander beside them.

As the guard looks at the blood soaked blade in horror, Aramys stands, shaking his head furiously.

“She was going to attack you from behind, I had no choice.”

With a tentative smile, the guard nods his head and watches as Aramys rows back to shore. Who was he to question the Champion of Cyrodill?

PLEASE let me know y’all’s thoughts on this! I portrayed it in the game to the best of my ability and it turned out fairly well, no bounty, and it still counted as a murder for the DB questline to begin!

IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE: I’m not making Aramys interact with the Shivering Isles after this interaction!! Him becoming Sheogorath doesn’t exactly fit in with the story I want to portray for his character so it’ll be left alone for now. I’m mainly focused on his unsettling shift into a stone cold killer who can barely recognize himself 🙂‍↕️🤫

Also, I know I made him seem pretty nonchalant in the interaction but believe me, after that boat ride back to Bravil he’s throwing up behind the city walls. He can’t even begin to fathom what he just did.

I know I never really touched on his personality and how he interacts with the characters during the main quest line (should probably do a post for that…), but to put it bluntly he’s a very all-American-boy character, only wanting to help and prove himself to those he puts on a pedestal.

This crushes him. Lucien takes advantage of that.

NEED HELP WITH STORY-TELLING!!! PLEASE!!!!!

WHAT’S UP GUYS!! I need help with a big portion of Aramys’ lore… I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of this big plot hole but now I’m not sure where to go from here 😭😭

Basically, after he becomes the HOK and finishes the main story of the game, he begins to get corrupted by everything involved in the fighter’s guild and transfers over to the Dark Brotherhood in secret… basically, a classic Fallen Hero story.

But I’m having trouble with the why. Why does he get recruited? What made him kill someone? Before when I was first starting to write his lore I made it so that he joined the thieve’s guild for money, and ultimately got freaked out during on heist and killed a guard. But now he’s not joining the thieve’s guild and I’m not sure what other motivation he would have for killing someone!!!

Please if you guys have some suggestions I’m open, thank you so much 😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

(p.s. just found out about the painting quest, SO COOL WHY HAVE I NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE???)

He also recently joined the fighter’s guild! Not sure when I want him to do… it, yet, but it will be soon. Probably during his time in the guild. He’s beginning to get a little too used to blood.
