a modern day apollo. I wake up and my arms are wings, my heart a feathered, hopeful thing (x).
modern aesthetics: apollo 🌞
CHARACTER AESTHETIC: MEDEA
“Of all creatures that can feel and think, we women are the worst treated things alive.”
MYTH MOODBOARDS: apollo.
there’s hymns in the crook of his neck, sundust ignites his gilt skin. they say he is wrought from harp string and sun’s ray, but i know better. his laughter comes in a thick culmination of stardust and sun blast. it’s consuming, intoxicating. as if you could get drunk off of the gold of his eyelash.
MYTHOLOGY MOODBOARDS: poseidon.
he breathes salt, the sea reigns a steady stream in his vein, eyes the color of beryl reflecting of oceanic rapture. he opens his mouth to speak and he swallows swordfish. he owns the ichor of water, he breathes life into aquarian depths.
hoonetwork 30 day challenge day 9: favorite goddess » artemis
a modern day harmonia. there is bravery in being soft.
MODERN MYTHOLOGY: Hemera.
a modern day hemera has sunkissed skin and rosy cheeks, and she prides herself on the fact that she wears her heart on her sleeve. she spends most of her time at the beach, soaking up the sunlight and quietly thinking about the idea of freedom. her hair smells faintly of salt water and sun lotion, and her lips taste like strawberry lip gloss. she wakes up at dawn and watches the sunrise, always with adventure on her mind.
Mythology: Witches
She was a wild, wicked slip of a girl. She burned too brightly for this world.
Olympian gods [5/12] - Artemis, the goddess of chastity, hunt and the moon
THE MOIRAI AESTHETIC POST:
The threads which the Fates spin are so unchangeable, that, even if they decreed to someone a kingdom which at the moment belonged to another, and even if that other slew the man of destiny, to save himself from ever being deprived by him of his throne, nevertheless the dead man would come to life again in order to fulfill the decree of the Fates. He who is destined to become a carpenter, will become one even if his hands have been cut off: and he who has been destined to carry off e prize for running in the Olympic Games, will not fail to win even if he broke his leg: and a man to whom the Fates have decreed that he shall be an eminent archer, will not miss the mark, even though he lost his eyesight. (x)
Of Titans and Titanesses: the second generation ↳ Selene, titan goddess of the moon
Favourite goddesses in norse mythology: Freyja
↳ Freyja is the archetype of the völva, a professional or semiprofessional practitioner of seidr, the most organized form of Norse magic. It was she who first brought this art to the gods, and, by extension, to humans as well. Given her expertise in controlling and manipulating the desires, health, and prosperity of others, she’s a being whose knowledge and power are almost without equal.
Freyja presides over the afterlife realm Folkvang, whose inhabitants she selects from among the warriors slain in battle.
