I have been living here in Vermont for almost one month. Cannot believe it. Its snowy, cold and pretty darn amazing to be honest. I love the hotel I work at, I love the people in not only my department but all over and most importantly I love going to work every single day. There has been many new...
Oh wow. 4 Months ago I arrive to this country on this day. 4 months. 2 months to go of my internship. Cannot believe it. These four months have flown by. So what has been happening you might ask yourself (probs not since this is a personal blog): Last time I checked my ski-statues last week I had...

I feel like I’m really going to miss Vermont once I leave in two months. The green mountain state has become my home. Even though everyone is either drunk or high or just way to chill about everything I like it here. I love the nature and all the possibilities to do things outside.

Snowboarding
Oh wow. 4 Months ago I arrive to this country on this day. 4 months. 2 months to go of my internship. Cannot believe it. These four months have flown by. So what has been happening you might ask yourself (probs not since this is a personal blog): Last time I checked my ski-statues last week I had been skiing/riding for 28 days and done 233 runs. Hopefully by the end of this week when the lifts close i'll done 250 runs AT LEAST. I think thats an easy goal. On sunday the two last lifts closes. That is very sad.
I am a snowboarder now. I took a lesson in February and wasn't very impressed then 2 weeks ago I went out spring skiing and hated it because I had lousy rental skiis; I then got pushed into taking another snowboarding lesson and guess what? It was amazing right after that afternoon 90 minute lesson I decided I wanted my own board. The coming days I took two 90 minutes lesson each day and got a total around 12 lessons? On my sixth day of snowboarding I bought my very own board. My first one. I went in believing I was gonna buy a Burton but came out with a Rome. I love my baby. I still haven't decided on a name for her. But I will probably settle with Belle. Because its a beauty.
Snowboarding is amazing. I wanna do a big shout out to my favourite instructors who I will always want to remember:
Sam; for taking me on my first lesson and up Adventure. And helping me out with my new board.
Julie; who helped me have my breakthrough and took me up Alpine.
RJ; wow, thank you for everything. Probably the best instructor I've ever had in my life. He was very encouraging and took me up the Gondola and taught me to do a bunny hop.
Jordan; close to RJ, really helped me with my flat riding and took me up the quad and in general was just really helpful and awesome with everything even outside of lessons.
Lex; its a love hate relationship. With him you gotta go EXTREEEEEEEEME. And those who know me knows I'm so far from extreme you get. He took me on a box and really mad me work on my technique.
Kee; carving, carving, carving.
I'd also like to thank the amazing Diane working in ski and snowboard school for helping me and being such an amazing inspiration.
I am so grateful for everything that has happened to me here. And I cant believe how much I've learnt.
On the last Sunday before the lifts close we are going up at 4.30am on the Gondola to go to a small church ceremony and then riding down the mountain. You'll see the sunrise and everything. I am so excited for this.
Thank you America for all these experiences
Almost one month in the States.
I have been living here in Vermont for almost one month. Cannot believe it. Its snowy, cold and pretty darn amazing to be honest. I love the hotel I work at, I love the people in not only my department but all over and most importantly I love going to work every single day. There has been many new things for me to take in, but I think I'll tell you more about that some other day.
Now I'm sitting in our livingroom here at the Brook House in little Stowe, Vermont. I'm gonna make some lunch and after that I'm going to head over to the gym for a quick workout before work starts at 3pm. Today Ryan and I will be working PBX (Answering the phone) everyone needs to do this about once a week. It's kinda fun. I answer the phone, direct the calls and then go on here. I just wished I started earlier so that I could go to the gym after work instead of before work. Its easier. But since I'm PBX I don't need to worry too much about what I look like.
Packing my life away
Packing, packing, packing. Last night at 11pm I started doing laundry and then I emptied my suitcase again to really see what I'm packing. Trying not to bring too much. But incase I need to bring back another suitcase when I fly home that will be okay, which is good to know! Yay. Packing carry-on is also soooo hard. In my backpack I have my laptops, kamera, chargers and a book. And in my handbag I have all my documents I need, extra fuzzy socks, my disney blanket and some make-up stuff.
I have also been packing up my room which is taking forever. Not a big fan of packing or unpacking. Yuck. Already looking forward to coming back to Switzerland completely jetlagd and needing to open up all my stuff and repack to go back to university. Gonna be fun 3 days!
Anyway leaving tomorrow morning at like 5:30 or something for the airport. So nervous!
IM MOVING TOMORROW
Bye Switzerland - Hello United States of America!
Tomorrow morning i'm getting on a plane that will take me first to Atlanta and then onwards to Burlington and there I will be picked up and brought to the hotel. I'm so excited. On Thursday I have orientation and I think I start work on Friday. Oh gosh oh gosh oh gosh. And my flight back to Europe will be 21st of July Los Angeles to Paris to Zurich.
I GOT MY VISA
Hey guys!
So this morning I was running to the mailbox at 11am when the post arrives and I was taking all the mail out when I could see "American Embassy" written on an envelope!! Of course I immediately ran in to the house to open it - I GOT MY VISA! You have no idea how excited I am about this, I was hoping to book my ticket tonight but will most likely do it tomorrow. Oh yes yes yes! I think I'm going to leave on tuesday or so.
It might be -30 up here.. But that sunrise doe.. #sunrise #stowe #stowemt #mountains #landscape #snowboarding #vermont #winter #beautiful

A place to stay in LA
My grandmother gave me the contact details of a friend of hers living in Los Angeles that has offered to let me stay with her and show me around this summer. So I contacted her and she seems really nice and I am more than welcome to stay with her son - He lives in Las Vegas!! or even with her daughter - Yeah she lives in Hawaii!! Even though I would love to go to Hawaii that would mean I couldn't go to the other places I wish to see: so that has to wait. But Las Vegas is definitely an option because I really want to see Britney Spears!
pic from Shanghai.
That feels like such a long time ago but its roughly exactly a year ago or so. Oh wow.
And this time next year I have no clue where I will be? My school wont start until 30th of January so I think I will be travelling in Australia or the Middle East if I can choose.
And so the visa process has started!
So yesterday before lunch I got my FedEx package so instantly I signed the papers, made copies and sent it off to the embassy. I also sent them an email and they started processing my visa yesterday!!! Woooop. I'm wondering how long it will take. I really hope I can have it by the end of this week even though its not too likely.
Monday morning
Good morning peeps.
My fedex package has made it all the way to a little town close to me. Great news. It says on the tracking device online that it will arrive at 6pm but I really hope it will come earlier.
