As per the decision taken by GST council, all the housing projects which are unfinished as on March 31 will have options either to shift to present 5 per cent and 1 per cent rates without ITC or choose the old tax structure with ITC. Revenue Secretary A B Pandey told reporters that developers will get reasonable time for it. Also, he said that the matter would be decided in the next few days after consultation regarding the same with the states.

The official announcement by UNESCO on twitter said, "Just inscribed as @UNESCO #WorldHeritage Site: Jaipur City in Rajasthan, #India. Bravo.” The ‘Walled City of Jaipur, was nominated in the year 2018 by The International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS). The UNESCO World Heritage Committee inspected the nomination and inscribed the Capital’s name as UNESCO World Heritage Site after its 43rd Session held from June 30 - July 10 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the session on ‘Emerging Construction Technologies’ at 15th National Convention of NAREDCO, on August 20, Amrit Abhijat, IAS, Joint Secretary (PMAY), Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs underlined the significance of cost-effective, energy-efficient and sustainable new technologies in making Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) a resounding success. He informed that the Union government is looking at investments close to five to seven lakh crore rupees under PMAY. As of now, 50 lakh houses are being constructed out of 26 lakh crore have already been delivered. “Affordable housing has clearly emerged as the answer to the problem of the economy”, he added.
