We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks (2013)
bad boy noun informal 1. a young man who does not conform to approved standards of behavior; a rebel.
The setting is as natural as possible, and thatâs the real place as opposed to an artificial movie set so in that way it was the style we were working from. But then we take artistic license in altering things to convey more what it would feel like at that time, using music that gives the emotional quality that I wanted the scene to have as opposed to what actually might be the song [from that period]. A combination to create the impression of what it might have been like. - Sofia Coppola
Check out Sofia Coppola taking about the Marie Antoinette soundtrack! Great Soundtrack!
Itâs not personal, Sonny. Itâs strictly business.
A classic film, from some classic stars.
âHumanity is more than a unity. It is a complete unit. And combined with all conscious life, all earthlings, all beings, it is a Great Unit. No one part, or one unit can be separated from the whole.
Human, Animal, or Tree. Not the same, but equal.â
From the writer and director of Earthlings, 80 celebrities come together to narrate a full-length documentary film about the destiny of humankind and the purpose of existence.

Look - youâre my best friend, so donât take this the wrong way. In twenty years, if youâre still livinâ here, cominâ over to my house to watch the Patriots games, still workinâ construction, Iâll fuckinâ kill you. Thatâs not a threat; now, thatâs a fact. Iâll fuckinâ kill you.

I plan that stuff out before we shoot, so I try to play a lot of the songs during the scenes. If itâs a scene that doesnât have dialogue, then weâll play that during it, the track. And if it does have dialogue, then weâll sometimes play a song, then cut it right before. So itâs kind of setting the mood on the set. - Wes Anderson
Super cool to see how some of the greats do it!

Great Classic Film
Amadeus (1984)
From now on we are enemies, You and I. Because You choose for Your instrument a boastful, lustful, smutty, infantile boy and give me for reward only the ability to recognize the incarnation. Because You are unjust, unfair, unkind, I will block You, I swear it. I will hinder and harm Your creature on earth as far as I am able.
The Codes of Gender (Documentary)
Written and directed by MEF Executive Director Sut Jhally, The Codes of Gender applies the late sociologist Erving Goffmanâs groundbreaking analysis of advertising to the contemporary commercial landscape, showing how one of American popular cultureâs most influential forms communicates normative ideas about masculinity and femininity.
In striking visual detail, The Codes of Gender explores Goffmanâs central claim that gender ideals are the result of ritualized cultural performance, uncovering a remarkable pattern of masculine and feminine displays and poses.
It looks beyond advertising as a medium that simply sells products, and beyond analyses of gender that focus on biological difference or issues of objectification and beauty, to provide a clear-eyed view of the two-tiered terrain of identity and power relations.
A heartwarming story about the way that books help strengthen the bonds between friends, family, and community! This is my first directorial project since moving to Los Angeles. I wanted to keep it simple, and make some work that was emotionally engaging, something that positively gives back to my community in an effort to put my best foot first. Iâm incredibly happy with the result, and hope it warms your heart as much as it does mine.
