Panama Deception - 1989 US invasion of Panama. History continues to repeat itself and I continue to hate the United States and all imperialist nation states bent on the destruction of the world for profit.

Walked into a clock repair shop in Kalamata Greece for no reason and met this guy Konstantinos, his whole shop was stocked with beautiful clocks that he had repaired and some he was still working on. He had a back wall sort of tucked away that was stacked top to bottom with insane paintings, i asked if they were his, he said yes and invited myself and G, iris, and Mone back around to look. Most of them done from the mid 80’s to the early 90’s - just insane and so cool and weird, lots of girls, but also some dream like scenes, portraits, and moments from life. We spoke few words and mostly just smiled, he gave us a catalog of his photos / brochure from 2024 of a show he had. I took a portrait of him on film and he smiled big and we waved goodbye. I walked through the night with my friends and street cats and talked/thought about how the most inspiring paintings we’d seen in a long time were in this moment and previously the week before in Ano Asites on Crete in a small Raki making barn. Similar style to Konstantinos work, and same time period even but, these were beautiful paintings of farm life. These were both inspiring experiences to remind myself to not be fooled by white wall gallery bullshit and that usually the best work is in the world made by and for the people.
