im scared that ill always have to be in the closet bc my family is insanely homophobic and if i came out i would have to cut them off and i dont wanna do that. even though i dont have a great relationship with them, they still mean a lot to me and i value them more than myself. i feel like im trapped in an unsolvable situation and i dont know what to do anymore. im 15, so right now i dont have a choice but what about when im an adult? do i stay closeted and single forever, because i doubt anyone would want to date/be with someone who has to keep their relationship a secret? or do i be myself and destroy the already fragile relationship i have with my family. on top of all of this, i was raised religious and ive recently started doubting that too. i wish my family were accepting. i wish i didnt have to hide.
i dont expect an answer or advice from you, i just needed somewhere to vent x
hi anon thanks for sending something in! I know you don't expect anything but I wanted to write you something small in case it provides you any comfort. first of all l hope you know that you are never alone, and that no matter what queer joy will prevail. You will find people who love you and understand you no matter what. As for your family, I hope that if/when you feel its right to tell them they will be able to choose the love they have for you over the imaginary hate that they have right now. No matter how it goes one day you will not have to hide from anyone and you will be free. Being young and closeted is so hard but you are strong enough to get through this. happiness is not far
Sending you love and hugs anon, I hope you are doing well and wish you the best of luck (if it exists?) in everything. <3
