Is a continual practice of lamentation denying the New Kingdom? Are we still mourning to the sound of John the Baptist's dirge - the last of the Old Testament prophets - instead of rejoicing in the freedom of Christ?
Do we attribute a holiness to lamentation?

What does the grieving process look like?
Jesus has reconciled for those who have sinned, but he also reconciled the hurt of those who were sinned against.
To keep revisiting grief is to deny Creator's promise of reconciliation.
So what is the balance between grieving for what has happened, and actively engaging in/accepting the gift of renewal and reconciliation that the Creator has designed?
