It’s a special person who sit with a man and make him feel safe to be open and vulnerable. We all need to feel safe heard and appreciated. Unfortunately, we men are only appreciated when we provide something of value. Not truly who he is. If you take a moment to truly see him. You’ll see the scars that he wears. Both visible and the ones hidden under the surface. Scars that carry all the stones of battle’s fought in silence. And, burdens carried alone. When that person looks past just what he provides, and instead sees the warrior inside, the scars slowly disappear and no longer define him. Instead, they become reminders that even the wounded warrior is worthy of love.
