Happy One Year Anniversary Building on Buildings!!

Building on Buildings is one year old this week and we are five strong. Eben Christensen (keys/guitar/vox), Shawn Pierce (drums), and Kris Hansen (bass), Erin Fuller (guitar/vox), and myself (guitar/vox). We'll be returning to April Base studio to continue working on our album slated for a 2014 summer release. #woot

Have a listen to our first single WHEEL. We love it. Hope you do too!

Photo above taken on the bands first tour (March/April 2013), wherein Erin and I load up my car and played our first show at the Riverwest Public House in Milwaukee. Then onto Louisville, Birmingham, with additional stops in Cincinnati, Nashville, and Memphis, enjoying the sights, good food/drink, and visiting with new and old friends. A fantastic road trip and tour I'll never forget!!!

Super nice review of one of my band's songs "Invoice" by the Isthmus.

The past few years have seen the rise of several strong female indie vocalists. With Kate Crutchfield of Waxahatchee, Francis Quinlan of Hop Along, Laura Stevenson of Laura Stevenson & the Cans and Monica Martin of local faves PHOX steadily ascending into the limelight, more and more groups are trying to harness the power behind female singers and lyricists. Building on Buildings fits right in with the aforementioned artists.
