Toto - Rosanna (Drum Cover)

Comment: “Rosanna” by Toto is considered one of the most demanding drum parts in pop music. The right hand plays almost nonstop triplets - like a rolling steam locomotive - and the only way to make that feel smooth is with a completely relaxed wrist. Keeping that motion steady for the whole song without losing the groove is a real challenge. On top of that, the left hand and the feet have to place subtle accents in between, which requires precision, control, and a lot of independence. It’s a groove that sounds effortless, but is anything but easy to play.
