The combined Open Interest feature is used to track the total open interest of both call options and put options.

Open interest tells you the number of contracts that are open or live in the market. When new contracts are added open interest increases and when contracts are squared-off open interest decreases. The total number of CALL open interest of each strike price is called the total CALL open interest. The total number of PUT open interest of each strike price is called the total PUT open interest.
