Hello Star, I don’t understand, everybody says the last time a song was registered we got it soon after. But wasn’t the last time take it back?
Hi anon,
Yup. Was registered April 30th and we haven’t heard it yet. :(

“Unseen video from Louis’ studio session on March 21st. Jake Torrey was dubbing the lyrics “When I get wasted I can taste you on my lips” https://t.co/B5DJ5La4KH”
I would sell my mother to hear Louis sing “Blackbird” with only his guitar.

The Fulwell thing only just happened, didn't it? And it's an investment, it didn't become the parent company. I'm sure it'll mean favourable media coverage in billboard and Hollywood Reporter, but it's not quite like Fulwell was acquired by the same parent company.
Thanks for clarification anon. It's true Valence just recently became a partner with Fulwell 73 with a minor stake of *chokes* $60 mil - so that's not a full ownership like they have of Billboard. What's interesting to me though is the existence of these little communities that are all in business together. It absolutely shapes who gets to the top of the charts and how. When it's a small group of predominantly white, wealthy men that control ever-growing chunks of the industry it tends to limit what gets to be popular. And I'm imagining that in these small communities there most likely is awareness around who is involved in questionable/oppressive behaviours in their context. Fulwell 73's deal with Valence is super recent but the players are all part of the same community.

Louis: It was just so effortless to tell quite a deep story. And to get that message across, so beautifully, is not an easy skill. So that, for a start, was fantastic. (video of the full speech)
Louis will be on Saturday Breakfast - BBC Radio 2 on September 29th
I don’t know if I’ve misread posts on here or not, but when everyone was discussing what type of contracts solo 1D would sign people were saying a distribution deal was the best and that it was good that Louis had a D.D because he would have more (that’s the keyword) creative control. Is it possible for Louis’ situation to be like Ciara’s, Sky Ferriera, when he has a D.D (w/ the theory that Syco doesn’t like his music)? Or are there examples of artists like him with a D.D I haven’t seen
P.S - I haven’t checked if Ciara or Sky Ferriera signed D.D so if they have, I guess I just answered my own ask, sorry
this answer is going to be incredibly long and rambly but the TL;DR is:
1. we don’t actually know what any of their contracts or deals look like and what they entail.
2. ‘distribution deals’ are not the saviors of artists and are actually just a step up from 360 deals.
