[Oh, yeah, HELP. It started out as more of a gag between a friend of mine and me, where we just went “huh, what if there was a student AU at UCL where griffin didn’t go batshit insane but was just an overworked and underpaid chemistry professor” so this is what this turned out to be idk. I like pondering about what his life would have looked like pre-invisibility too much, but I’ll try to bring his hyperfixation on it into this blog as well help]

Oh no. Hes found the internet

Why do you phrase it as though it’s a bad thing? I must tell you, I am a fully grown man of 30, and I will not tolerate being regarded as an infant. As for the internet, well…I must admit it is a curious place. Here specifically i can discover so much art with what i can only assume is myself, some flattering, some…not so much. No matter. I have in this brief time already gone through everything I could find featuring my name, and you people…you stun me.

I suppose I have been neglecting this for long enough.

Well then…one ought to introduce themselves, as little as one likes the ceremony.

The name is Griffin, and I will leave you with that, come up with whatever first name you wish, Jack, Jonathan, or even Hubert for all I care! It doesn’t matter. What matters is well, my current predicament. You see, I am a scientist. The world may refuse me this title just because I look…in fact I wouldn’t like to elaborate on how I look, it brings absolutely nothing to the table and is just a waste of words, but I don’t look usual. I will leave it at that.

And as a scientist, I am bound to notice certain reactions that go off in one’s core when an unexpected effect takes place. As of late, there had been an odd development, and that development carries the name of Dr. Kemp. I…cannot pin down what to feel about this specimen of a man. And that is exactly what annoys me the most. I have been searching extensively on what this effect can be that this man has on me, but I’ve yet got to find it. So, to clear up this matter for myself, and well, probably to amuse me, I have decided that I am open for questions. Now every gaping imbecile may request something of me, and I am obliged to reply…be short about it though, I don’t have all day.

I’m seriously starting to doubt the mential capacities of those colleagues of mine. All morning I’ve been thinking about whether or not to come to this museum of human stupidity, but alas, I had to. But at least there is a good side to this, the professor of Chemistry, appears to me as the most agreeable of the bunch. But still, his study methods are nothing short of a nightmare. I truly pity his miserable students, even though I don’t hold any of them in high regard.

1897, October 3rd, London.

I am not quite certain why I started this blog. I suppose my position as a professor of my own field is quite satisfactory, but as of late I have been feeling…somewhat isolated, I think? It started in June, this prolongued seasonal melancholy. One day I merely woke up, and it felt as though some part had died within me without my knowledge. Perhaps, and though it is stupid and foolish to believe so, my life should have ended in June 1897. In some alternate Universe, it perhaps did. But for now, I am stuck in my position here in London, back at the same Univeristy I had graduated from, surrounded by the very same people I used to despise even in my student days. But I am getting off track.

Entertain me, world. For I’ve got nothing better to do.
