Some pictures I took yesterday while practicing thermodynamics.
The sheer amount of bad news i received over the past week has knocked me straight of my feet, but im doing better now.
I restarted the 100 days of productivty over the weekend. Its important to try again, even if it didnt go well. Some things are just out of our control.
Yesterday was day 2.
Im exited and ready for the next challenge.
20.10.2020. | 5/100 Days of Productivity
I started the day off with a really slow morning. I was feeling really tired and needed to take a minute.
Reading today: Dobro jutro Beograde, the first book by Duško Radović
It is a series if transcribed radio addresses Duško would do every morning at 7 am to wish everyone a good day. I'm currently at the 20th of October 1975.
The to-do list for the day:
• Check my health insurance status
• Sort out my finances and go over bank accounts statements
• Finish listening to prerecorded Analytical Chemistry lectures
• Go over practice problems for Thermodynamics class (I’m super exited about this cause we're doing actual energy transfer problems for power plants and its great!!)
• Meet up with my sister
• Do an overall audit of everything I need to do/get for my cat this week
• Its actually 76th anniversary of the Belgrade liberation in the Second World War, so I would love to visit the Liberators of Belgrade memorial park, bring some flowers and commemorate the solders and victims of fascism.Â
not every day works out as planned. do what you can, when you can, in the way that works for you. whatever you’ve done for your studies today is enough, and I’m proud of you ♡
17. and 18.10.2020. | 2&3/100 Days of Productivity
The weekend was reserved for maintenance tasks that take up too much time during busy weeks. I went grocery shopping, meal prepped, cleaned my apartment.
I finished reading Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage. I read this book in less than three days, which is unusual for me, but I loved it so much. I cried a lot, but it was the good kind of crying.Â
16.10.2020. | 1/100 Days of Productivity
Lately I’ve been taking a more creative approach to my bullet journal with cutting and pasting, drawing, and using color in it. I feel like I’m returning to my creative spirits from my younger days when I first started using a bullet journal.Â
Today was a good day. I had two in person labs at the uni building. I felt ok, and safe enough. We are separated into very small groups for these classes, and are wearing full protective gear (since its chemistry labs+ extra measures).Â
I’m exited for the weekend as I’m caught up on all of the lectures and school work in all but one class, so I’ll have a lot of time to dedicate to hobby's/current interests.
P.S. The art pictured is not my drawing, but its been given to me as a gift from the artist.
I haven't been active because I felt full of negativity and definitely did not want to spread that kind of energy, since the positivity of studyblr is the biggest reason I love it so much.Â
Anyways, Im reminded that recovery is not linear, and that’s OK.
The new semester has started, and so far I am enjoying my classes, but they require me being very, very diligent with studying, so I’m starting the 100 days of productivity.
I’m super exited, and cannot wait to post more regularly. I just know it will push me out of my comfort zone.
Sending all the love to everyone!Â

28.09.2020.
I haven’t posted anything in while because I focused all my energy on studying for exams. This period has been really stressful and tough. Next semester I will have to retake some of the classes I was taking this semester which was disappointing, but I know I gave it my absolute best. The exam season is almost over, I’m mostly waiting on some results at the moment.Â
The plan for today is to email a professor about finalizing my grade, go to the student office to get information on enrolling in the next semester (the process is more complicated since were doing combined in person and online classes), go grocery shopping and clean my apartment. So, not a very studying heavy day.
I’m in good spirits, and am super exited for the free time I will have over the next week before classes start.
Pictured is the view from my window this morning and a little doddle I did of myself a few days ago (please be kind, I haven’t drawn a human figure in literally years).
03.09.2020.
Working on exam problems for my Equipment elements in processing industry class. Currently at calculating the tensile force needed to secure the flange connections on pressurized vessels. The weather is so nice today, I might go for a walk. I usually don’t like gloomy days, but it’s such a nice change after the recent heatwave.Â
Studyblr Introduction
Hi everyone! I have decided to start a studyblr myself. I have followed the community for some time now. It has been a great source of inspiration and I have admired the content so much, just wasn't sure If I could do that too. With the switching to online classes, and summer semester of 2020 ending, I have so much work to do before the next semester starts, that I decided an extra kick of motivation is exactly what I need! I’m so exited about joining the community! Â
About me:
My name is Marija ( Ma:ri:ja: / m-ah-R-EE-y-ah )
Pronouns: She/ her, They/them
I’m 21
This fall I will be starting my second year studying environmental engineering
I love dancing. It is my favorite form of expression and brings me so much joy. My favorite forms of dancing is Slavic folk dancing and Cuban salsa. I was looking into joining new dance troupes/classes for folk dancing, but am currently not sure whether its safe to do so, due to COVID.
Another old passion of mine is photography. Over the last few years I feel like I have put this aside. I am so exited to get back into this and explore this in a more academic level. I want to get photography theory, and composition books.
I have recently started taking a lot of walks. So i might post pictures I take on my walks.Â
I take most of my notes in Cyrilic (and cursive Cyrillic)Â
Academics:
I studied environmental science with the focus on ecology for a year before deciding to switch my major (also changed schools) to environmental engineering. Â
Classes start in October for me. Usually its October 1st, but it might be pushed back due to to some end of year exam changes because of COVID.
I will be taking Differential equations, Thermodynamics, Organic chemistry, Analytical chemistry, Economics is engineering, and one more subject on which I still haven't decided yet. (It will be ether Introduction to chemical engineering or Functioning of biological systems).
My classes will be mostly held online, but we will go in person for labs in small groups. I’m just hoping this semester will be organized better, because the last one was in shambles.
I am currently taking all of my exams in person at the school building.
What I am currently working on:
I am taking most of my exams from the last two semesters until the end of September. In the state I live in it was illegal to conduct exams online, so all of our exams, and evaluations were postponed until the summer. They have since changed the law in an expedited process, but many schools do not practice it because the infrastructure is not there.Â
Making the space I live in more comfortable and inviting.

My main blog is @marijastriving, and I follow from there. Please be patient with me while I figure this whole tumblr side blog thing.
Again, I’m super exited to join the community!Â
